Letters That Last ✉️❤️

Before heading to Italy for the World Baton Competition, sisters Ann and Madeline Barr stopped by GreenFields to visit their pen pal—and dear friend—91-year-old GreenFields resident Helen Meints.

Their friendship began five years ago through our Pony Express Pen Pal Program, launched during COVID. What started as handwritten letters has become a lifelong bond filled with laughter, wisdom, and heart.

Because some connections aren’t made by Wi-Fi—they’re made by pen, paper, and love. 💌
