Spring is such a fun season to use as a grounding tool. Everywhere you look, tiny buds are forming and new leaves are beginning to unfold. These fresh changes can help bring your attention back to the present moment. Next time you need to relax your body, go outside and try this simple exercise:
Find a budding plant or tree. Look closely at the small buds or newly opened leaves. Notice the color, shape, and texture. Are the leaves bright green? Soft? Curled? Smooth? Take slow breaths with each observation. With each inhale, imagine taking in fresh Spring air. With each exhale, release tension or stress.
Similar to these new leaves, growth often begins quietly and gradually. Small changes can lead to meaningful transformation over time. Find three signs of Spring around you. Can you hear the birds returning from Winter? Do you feel the warmer breeze? Are there new flowers or grass growing greener? Let each observation anchor you in the present moment.
