Happy National Radiologic Technology Week!

Radiologic Technologist
ra·di·o·log·ic tech·nol·o·gist (rā'dē-ō-loj'ik tek-nol'ŏ-jist)
a person skilled in the use of ionizing radiation to produce diagnostic images.

This week we commemorate our radiologic technologists and their valuable contributions to our center. Radiologic technologists can specialize in radiography, radiation therapy, and/or nuclear medicine. Medical imaging plays a crucial role when it comes to diagnosing a variety of conditions. Most often, our radiology professionals produce imaging as an intraoperative guide for our surgeons.

A big THANK YOU to our knowledgeable and hardworking radiologic technologists!

Happy International Central Service/Sterile Processing Week!

This week, we recognize the committed specialists that fill our Central Service/Sterile Processing (CS/SP) department and make a difference in patient care everyday.
CS/SPD professionals are responsible for decontaminating, sterilizing, inspecting, testing, packing, and issuing medical supplies, equipment and instruments. Duties include ensuring all returned medical and surgical equipment, supplies and instrumentation are operable; selecting appropriate cleaning agents and decontamination processes; identifying and assembling medical and surgical instrumentation and supplies using count sheets; assembling instruments and supplies for surgery or case/specialty cart procedures using pick lists; and creating and maintaining accurate equipment tracking, inventory, sterilization, and testing records and logs.

With their tireless dedication, our patients can count on clean and sterile instruments. As a result of their ongoing due diligence, dependable equipment, and process monitoring, surgeries can be performed without delay. And ultimately, with their unwavering adherence to industry standards, best practices, and policies and procedures, patient safety is never sacrificed. Thank you for all you do!
