šŸ€ March is sneaking in early with a little extra luck and a whole lot of green! šŸ€

We’ve officially started decorating for St. Patrick’s Day, and our community is blooming with shamrocks, rainbows, and smiles. šŸ’šāœØ

In Memory Care, the fun goes beyond decorations. Our residents have been painting festive artwork, and while it may look like simple creativity, there’s so much more happening behind the scenes.

šŸŽØ Painting supports:
• Fine motor coordination
• Hand-eye coordination
• Cognitive stimulation
• Emotional expression
• Sensory engagement

Creative activities like painting help stimulate different areas of the brain, encourage reminiscence, and promote a sense of accomplishment. The process — choosing colors, making brush strokes, and creating something uniquely their own — fosters confidence and joy.

And maybe, just maybe… a little Irish luck too. šŸŒˆšŸ’›

We can’t wait to see our halls filled with handmade masterpieces and March magic!

Our Winter Gala Dinner on Legacy was nothing short of magical. The room was glowing, the tables were dressed for the occasion, and the laughter could be heard all the way down the hall.

Residents enjoyed a delicious dinner, shared stories, and filled the evening with genuine smiles. And once the music started? The dance floor came alive. šŸ’ƒšŸ•ŗ There’s something so special about watching pure joy unfold in the simplest, sweetest ways.

Nights like this remind us that celebration doesn’t need a big crowd — just community, connection, and a little sparkle. ✨

Winter may be cold outside, but on Legacy, the warmth was everywhere. ā„ļøā¤ļø

ā¤ļø Still Feeling the Love… ā¤ļø

Our Legacy Valentine’s Day Party may be over, but the joy is still lingering in our halls. From sweet treats and heartwarming conversations, it was a beautiful reminder that love doesn’t age — it deepens.

Watching our residents light up surrounded by family, friends, and team members was everything. The smiles, the stories, the music, the quiet squeezes of hands… those are the moments that stay with us.

To our Legacy families — thank you for supporting us and your loved ones, for celebrating alongside us, and for continuing to make this community feel like home.

Love lives here. Every single day. šŸ’—

Valentine’s Day Happy Hour šŸ’•

Love was in the air at our Valentine’s Day Happy Hour! ā¤ļøāœØ

Residents gathered for sweet sips, savory bites, and even sweeter company. From laughter shared over sparkling mocktails to heartfelt conversations and a little dancing, the afternoon was filled with joy and connection.

Valentine’s Day isn’t just about romance — it’s about celebrating friendship, community, and the love we share every day. And yesterday, our hearts (and glasses!) were full. šŸ„‚

Cheers to love in all its beautiful forms! šŸ’—

Drumming can enhance executive functioning, promote bilateral movement, and support sensory integration. For individuals living with dementia, rhythmic cues can also improve attention, reduce agitation, and encourage participation, even in advanced stages of cognitive decline.

Additionally, group drumming fosters social interaction, promotes a sense of belonging, and can positively impact mood and behavioral symptoms. Familiar music and repetitive rhythms often access preserved neural pathways, allowing residents to experience meaningful engagement and emotional connection.

Integrating music and drumming into life enrichment programming supports person-centered care, promotes quality of life, and aligns with best practices for dementia care and neuroplasticity-based interventions.

There’s something special about finding a best friend in every stage of life. Each one walks with us through different seasons, holds our stories, and reminds us we’re never meant to do life alone. These friendships shape who we become—and they’re part of the legacy we leave behind: love shared, memories made, and lives touched along the way. šŸ©·šŸ‘šŸ¼
