🌟 The Real You: Confidence and Self-Love 🌟
Self-confidence—or the lack of it—is a big topic for me today. What is confidence, really?
I know for me, when I scroll through holiday photos, I sometimes look at myself in disgust. I’ve caught myself dodging the camera at family events. And when I’m out in public and see others so confident in themselves, I find myself wishing I felt that way too.
These are things I don’t always like to share. It’s hard dealing with this out in the community. Sometimes I put on a brave face and act like it doesn’t bother me—but deep down, it does. When I get home, I often avoid mirrors or anything that reflects back the version of myself I’m struggling with.
Why do we feel this way? Media. Plastic surgery. Peer pressure. Sales pitches. Algorithms that push “perfect.” Society has forced this image on us, and honestly—it downright sucks.
If this resonates with you, please know you are not alone. We don’t have to be a perfect image for others—only for ourselves. We need to look and feel good to feel our best, and to be healthy for ourselves and our families.
I may be bigger than I want to be, but I am actively working on myself and rebuilding my confidence—and I want to share my progress, not to brag, but to show what’s possible when you don’t give up.
✨ Weekly Update:
• Weight loss this week: 5.8 lbs
• Total weight loss since January 3, 2026: 18 lbs
• Inches lost this week: 4 inches all over
• Total inches lost since January 3, 2026: 28 inches
• Biggest losses: Waist & Chest 💪
And when I fully regain that self-confidence, I promise I’ll share an updated picture of myself, along with a comparison photo, because this journey deserves to be seen, celebrated, and owned.
Confidence isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress.
You can do this in your own way too. Don’t worry about what others think—focus on how you feel. I know it’s hard to get out of that mindset, but it’s worth it.
A few things I’ve learned along the way:
• Set realistic goals. If you don’t hit one, don’t quit—reset and keep going.
• Take progress photos. Sometimes you can’t see the changes from the inside, but you can from a distance.
No matter where you are in your journey, I am proud of you. Hold your head high. Confidence is what will carry you forward—and it’s what will help you succeed. 💚
