🍀 What a lucky day at Grand Living! 🍀

We kicked off our St. Patrick’s Day celebration with a delightful dessert and wine social—because nothing says “cheers to the Irish” like something sweet and a little sip of happiness! 🍷🍰

Then there was a concert by Lucas Julian Carballeira, filling the room with music. 🎶💚

Laughter, music, and a touch of Irish charm made it a day to remember! ☘️

⚾🍌 It was Banana Ball & Banana Split Day and the fun was officially peeling off the charts!

Today we gathered for a watch party featuring the wild and wacky world of Banana Ball. For several of our residents, it was their very first time watching the showdown between the Savannah Bananas and the Party Animals—and let’s just say… this is NOT your grandpa’s baseball! 😆

Between the dancing players, outrageous rules, and plenty of laughs, we enjoyed the game the best way possible… with banana splits in hand. 🍨🍌⚾

Great baseball, sweet treats, and lots of smiles made it a fantastic afternoon!

When it comes to senior healthcare, you are the most important person in the room—not because you have a medical degree, but because you have the intuition and the history.

Navigating health transitions for yourself or a loved one can feel like learning a foreign language overnight. But advocacy isn't about being confrontational; it’s about being informed, persistent, and clear.

In our latest blog, we break down the three essential pillars of effective healthcare advocacy:

📝 Preparation:
Why a health journal is your best "paper trail."

🗣️ The "Teach-Back" Method:
How to cut through medical jargon.

🤝 The Care Partnership:
Building a collaborative team with your providers.

You don't have to navigate this path alone. Learn how to turn your intuition into your greatest healthcare asset.

Yeehaw for Texas Independence Day 🤠

We kicked up our boots and celebrated all things Texas with a rootin’-tootin’ good time! The Singing Cowboy, Fred Fuller, stopped by to spin some tall cowboy tales, share a little Texas history, and serenade us with some good ol’ fashioned cowboy songs that had everyone tappin’ their toes and singin’ along.

Then came the main event… the Armadillo Races 🏁

At the starting line:• Cletus “Turbo Shell” McGraw• Bubba Lee Tater Tot Jackson• Skeeter Joe Armadillington III• Darla Mae Dirt-Track Dixon• Waylon “Wobble Wheels” Pickett• Buckshot Billy Ray Snodgrass

There was wobblin’, there was zig-zaggin’, there was absolutely zero steering… and LOTS of laughing! 😂

Safe to say these little racers stole the show and our hearts. What a wildly fun day full of stories, songs, and good Texas-sized memories.
