Harmony Farm, LLC We offer creative counseling to children and their families in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. We use a Are you encountering difficulty with your child or teenager?

Such problems include defiance, disrespect, whining, temper tantrums, hyperactivity, inattention, anxiety, history of trauma, aggression, depression, and self-harming behavior. We provide the following treatments:

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy- great for little ones up to 12 years of age, especially to improve attachment and to decrease negative attention seeking behavior

Dialectical

Behavioral Therapy- good therapy for self-harming clients and clients with mood swings

Behavioral Modification- beneficial for children with defiance and/or ADHD

Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- for children and teens who have experienced trauma and/or abuse

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- assists clients who suffer from depression or other cognitive distortions

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy- an experiential therapy that includes horses, a mental health professional and an equine specialist. This therapy promotes problem-solving skills and is beneficial for children, families, couples, and groups. It is not horse back riding, rather all work is done from the ground.

💕This month’s book spotlight is The Invisible String by Patrice Karst 💕

This book provides a bibliotherapy approach that helps children and adults manage separation anxiety, grief, loneliness, and life transitions. It uses the metaphor of an invisible string to understand the unbreakable unconditional love that connects loved ones to each other, even when apart.

We spent the day preparing for the winter storm. Now everyone is snug, minis are bedded, horses are blanketed, everyone has warm water, and we even hung up out extra cabbage for the chickens, so they won't get bored while cooped up. Who knows if the peacocks will sit near their heater? Whew, what a day! Here's hoping no frozen pipes or power outages! Warm wishes for a safe weekend!
