Preplanning can be a gift of comfort long before it is ever needed.

At Tucker, Yocum & Wilson, we believe that taking a little time to plan ahead can make a difficult season much easier for your family. When arrangements are discussed in advance, loved ones are often spared from having to make rushed decisions during an emotional time. It brings clarity, peace of mind, and a sense of relief knowing important choices have already been considered.

Preplanning does not have to be overwhelming, and it does not have to mean locking yourself into something before you are ready. Some people choose to make full arrangements, while others simply want to learn more and understand what options are available. That choice is entirely yours.

We are always here to answer questions, walk you through the process, and help you take whatever next step feels most comfortable. Give us a call at (502) 863-1212.

Today we pause to recognize National Funeral Director and Mortician Recognition Day — a day set aside to honor those who care for families in moments that matter deeply.

Funeral service is more than a profession. It is a calling to serve with empathy, steadiness, and respect. From offering guidance in difficult decisions to helping create meaningful tributes, funeral directors and staff carry an important responsibility with grace and compassion. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the Georgetown community and for all those in funeral service who give so much of themselves to others.

Please join us in recognizing the care, commitment, and professionalism of funeral directors and mortuary professionals today.

February is a month that often reminds us what matters most—family, legacy, and the people we’d do anything for. One practical way to care for them is by taking time to preplan your funeral arrangements.

Preplanning allows you to:
• record your wishes clearly
• reduce stress and uncertainty for your loved ones
• make thoughtful decisions without time pressure

Whether you’re ready to plan everything or just want to start with a conversation, we’re here to help—no pressure, just guidance.

If you’re comfortable sharing: What’s one thing you hope your family never has to “guess” about someday?
