Yesterday at Ashton Grove, residents enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea experience featuring a special visit from the Duchess Anna Marie Russell of Bedford. She entertained us with lighthearted stories while sharing the fascinating history behind this timeless tradition.

Guests savored classic tea fare, including cucumber sandwiches, scones, shortbread cookies, and petit fours—perfectly paired with a variety of teas. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with laughter, learning, and meaningful moments together.

We had a blast creating our "April Showers" door hangers, featuring vibrant tulips tucked inside umbrellas. They'll definitely added a pop of cheer to our community! 💐

To really get into the spirit, we stretched out our umbrellas and broke into a few verses of "Singin' in the Rain." 🎶 There was no shortage of smiles and laughter. It just goes to show that you can find brightness every day at Ashton Grove!

Join us at Ashton Grove Senior Living for our next Memory Loss Empowerment Group on Monday, April 20, from 5–6 PM.

Please note: this monthly support group now meets on the third Monday of each month (no longer Tuesdays).

This month’s topic, “Sexual Expression,” will be led by Amy Lougheed, Memory Care Director & Wellness Assistant, as part of our ongoing series Understanding Dementia – What’s Really Happening. These conversations are designed to provide insight, guidance, and compassionate support for caregivers navigating the dementia journey.

Caring for a loved one can be both meaningful and challenging—this group offers a safe, welcoming space to connect, share experiences, and learn from others who understand.

What a joyful day at Ashton Grove! 🐰🌷

Our Easter Egg Hunt brought smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of fun as residents teamed up to find over 300 eggs throughout the community. A heartfelt thank you to the Georgetown Scott County Chamber of Commerce and Family Wealth Group for sponsoring and donating the eggs—and to the Chamber for bringing in the Easter Bunny for some wonderful photo opportunities!

We were also so grateful to welcome the Lighthouse Team (Future Leadership Students) from Garth Elementary, who helped residents search for eggs and added such great energy to the day.

A special highlight was a visit by Stephanie Stefanik with Kentucky Equine Veterinary Dental Specialists, LLC, who shared insights alongside two student speakers on the importance of 4H and caring for animals. Residents especially loved meeting—and cuddling—two adorable bunnies and a sweet lamb!

🍔🚐 Our residents enjoyed a delicious meal at Steak 'n Shake during this week’s tasty lunch outing. Good food and great company made it a fun and satisfying trip for everyone!

Outings like these are a wonderful way to break up routines, enjoy a change of scenery, and spend quality time together. They help spark conversation, strengthen connections, and build camaraderie among residents.

We’re already looking forward to our next adventure! 🍟

Our beloved Bev received authentic San Francisco sourdough bread and generously shared it with fellow residents and friends. It didn’t take long for everyone to gather and enjoy this special treat together!

To make it even better, our chef prepared a delicious herbed butter to pair perfectly with the fresh sourdough—an absolute hit all around.

Thank you, Bev, for bringing everyone together for such a simple yet memorable moment. It’s the little things (and great bread!) that make our community so special.
