We get it. You want to look amazing for that wedding, vacation, or big event. So you book your appointment and start counting down the days until you're glowing.

But here's the thing nobody talks about: most treatments don't look their best right away. There's a healing phase first, and it's completely normal.

Here's the real timeline:

Right after treatment: You might have swelling, bruising, redness, small bumps, or tenderness depending on what was done. This is your body doing exactly what it's supposed to.

Days 1-3: You might notice some swelling or bruising during this phase, especially if you bruise easily. The good news? It typically gets a little better each day, and most people feel comfortable with makeup or going about their routine.

Days 4-7: By this point, most people are feeling pretty much back to normal. Any initial puffiness or tenderness is usually settling down nicely.

Weeks 2-4: This is when things typically look more settled and polished. Filler softens, swelling resolves, and results look natural.

The truth? Downtime is different for everyone. Your anatomy, treatment area, and how your body heals all matter.
