Georgetown Studio updates!

Hey everyone,

We know it’s been a while, and as much as we hoped everything would go as smoothly as planned, life often had other ideas. The construction process has faced delays over the past few months, but we’re finally getting there!

Honestly, we’ve been overwhelmed (in the best way) by the daily phone calls asking when the studio will officially open. Thank you so much for your patience and excitement. We’re just as excited as you are—though we’ll admit we’re a little (very) nervous too!

Here’s the timeframe we’re expecting: the building should be completed by the 2nd week of February. From there, we’ll begin the finish out which will take about 8–10 weeks. We’re aiming to have everything ready by the end of March or early April.

Right now is the perfect time to sign up for our Founding Membership! We’re doing things a bit differently: for just $1, you can enroll in our Founder’s List and lock in the lowest rate of $109/month. You can activate it now or later—it’s up to you. While we’re unhappy about inflation and rising costs, we don’t want you to have to compromise on your wellness. From Aerial, Barre, Mat Pilates and Yoga this rate includes all with unlimited access to all the Moonshine Yoga locations.

Meet our founder- Smile Owen

My journey with yoga began as a way to heal from a turbulent childhood. Growing up in a broken family in China marked by domestic violence and my father's alcoholism, my early years were filled with trauma and heartache. The loss of my father at the age of 10 only deepened the wounds I carried.

Amidst the chaos, I found solace on my yoga mat. Over a decade of practice revealed that yoga was more than physical fitness it became a powerful tool for inner healing and self-discovery. After completed my 200-hour Teacher Training in 2015 I became yoga teacher and determined to share its benefits with others.

After living in the San Francisco Bay Area for nearly a decade, my family and I decided to move to Texas during the pandemic. We faced challenges while living there and realized that a change was needed. The move to Texas was our way of making a fresh start and embracing new opportunities.

Texas offered opportunities I could never have dreamed of. I founded the Cedar Park studio, which felt like my true calling, and it inspired me to expand to Liberty Hill. And now, here we are, bringing Moonshine Yoga to Georgetown!

Drawing from my experiences as a mother, I recognized the value in introducing wellness practices to kids early on. I launched the kids aerial semester program helping hundreds of children discover the benefits. Seeing them thrive and grow has been incredibly rewarding.

Folks often joke about the name of Moonshine Yoga, asking if they get "moonshine" 🥃 after class. To me, Moonshine means "live by the sun, love by the moon," reflecting a balanced and holistic approach to life and practice. I’m so excited to continue expanding Moonshine Yoga to inspire even more lives.
