Soaking rains are on the way Tuesday night through the middle to end of this week. Dry conditions, low humidity and gusty winds are creating a elevated fire risk today and tomorrow across western and northwestern Illinois.

⚠️Use extra caution with farm and outdoor equipment

Tonight Georgetown Fire Protection District hosted the I and I meeting for various departments there was a great turn out. Thank you to all the departments that attended tonight’s meeting.

Georgetown Fire Protection District Auxiliary is doing a gear drive for our firefighters for new fire gear. If anyone is interested in donating you can message us on this page. We currently have 22 firefighters on our roster and it costs $3,946.00 for one set. Any community support would be much appreciated as our firefighters safety is #1 to us! 🚒🚒🚒🚒
