Here’s a message from SC Thrive:

Key Points for SNAP Households:
October benefits have already been disbursed and can continue to be used as normal.
Households are encouraged to budget carefully any remaining EBT funds.
Local food banks and pantries across the state remain open and available to help families in need:

Golden Harvest Food Bank
Harvest Hope Food Bank
Lowcountry Food Bank
Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina

Households are also encouraged to safeguard their benefits by locking their EBT cards when not in use and updating PIN numbers frequently to help prevent fraud.

Temperatures are soaring outside- be careful!
Leea, our intern from the Coastal Carolina University, sacrificed being in the heat to serve our Georgetown County Senior citizens in the Farmers Market Vouchers pick up line. The event was hosted by Georgetown Vital Aging.

Seniors are a vulnerable group and we are able to help with applications for Long Term Care (LTC) and other social service assistance such as SNAP, Medicaid, Medication Assistance, TANF and more!
