A Tradition Painted with Heart

One of our most cherished traditions at The Wesleyan is our annual Christmas Card Contest. Each year, members of our Art Club are invited to paint a Christmas scene that reflects the beauty, hope, and meaning of the season. The artwork is then voted on, and the chosen design becomes the Christmas card we send to our friends of The Wesleyan both near and far.

This tradition is more than art. It’s a way our community shares joy, creativity, and connection beyond our walls. We are delighted to announce that Judy Griffith is this year’s winner, and her beautiful artwork will represent The Wesleyan this Christmas season.

🎄✨ B-I-N-G-O & CHRISTMAS CHEER!

Eyes down… because the moment “BINGO!” was called, the smiles got bigger and the laughter got louder! 😄🎉 Dell joined us for a festive Christmas Bingo game, bringing great prizes, high energy, and wonderful enthusiasm that made the afternoon so much fun for our residents.
It was all about listening closely, marking those cards, and enjoying time together as a community this Christmas season. Thank you, Dell Computers, for bringing the fun, the prizes, and the joy to The Wesleyan! ❤️

Just like a Corvette, the holiday season seems to go from 0–60 in no time! 🎄8 days to Christmas!

We were excited to have the Sun City Corvette Club stopping by The Wesleyan to connect with our Men’s Group. Moments like these remind us that community, purpose, and friendship are what really matter, no matter the season.

Our assisted living team had so much fun creating Santa picture moments with our residents, reminding us all that the magic of childhood never fades.
From laughter and smiles to the comfort of familiar traditions, these moments capture what the season is truly about: love, connection, and feeling right at home. Christmas joy has no age limit, and neither does believing in Santa. 🎄✨

Our Merry and Bright mocktail celebration was full of joy, laughter, and holiday cheer!
Residents danced, shared smiles, and enjoyed great company while sipping festive mocktails. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the Christmas season together and create special memories with our Wesleyan family.

Our team had an absolute blast bringing the holiday spirit to life during our Christmas Office Tour! From Candy Land–themed corners to peppermint pathways and even cozy fireplace doors, every space was transformed with creativity and heart.
Each office was filled with special treats and goodies for our residents to enjoy, creating not just festive fun—but a real sense of warmth, community, and belonging. ❤️

We had a fantastic turnout at our Town Hall event featuring Williamson County Judge Steven Snell and City Manager David Morgan and Kevin Pitts Mayor Pro Tem & District 5 Council Memeber. Residents received valuable updates on the city budget, water demand, transportation, growth, and the latest from the Texas Legislature—followed by an engaging Q&A where our community’s voices were truly heard.
We’re proud to be part of the Georgetown community, and even prouder to help bring important city services, resources, and conversations directly to our residents. Staying engaged is at the heart of what we do, and the sense of community here at The Wesleyan is something special.
Thank you to everyone who joined us! We look forward to hosting more events that highlight all the City of Georgetown has to offer and continue building meaningful connections with our neighbors.

Our Resident Council knows how to celebrate! 🎁
Today’s White Elephant + Secret Santa party was filled with laughter, a cozy hot chocolate bar, a traditional Yule Log pound cake, Bourbon glazed meatballs, and plenty of shrimp bites to go around.
It’s a joy to gather with people who truly invest in our community and make it a better place—our residents are at the heart of it all. ❤️

Candyland magic on wheels!
Our Transportation, Life Enrichment, and HR teams spent hours transforming one of our vans into a sweet Candyland creation for Georgetown’s 44th Annual Christmas Stroll Parade — and we had an absolute blast!
We’re so honored to be part of the Georgetown community and to share in the joy of this whimsical, peppermint-bright celebration. ❤️🎄

Our Independent Living community was treated to a wonderful Christmas handbell concert performed by First United Methodist Church Round Rock, TX. The beautiful ringing of the bells filled our space with joy and helped us truly ring in the Christmas season!
We are so grateful for the talent, time, and warmth this group shared with our residents. What a perfect way to welcome the holidays together. ❤️

Our Assisted Living community was filled with warmth and holiday spirit as residents enjoyed beautiful Christmas hymns sung by Grace Bible Church. When the voices rose with “This, this is Christ the King, whom shepherds guard and angels sing,” the room felt truly touched by the season’s meaning.
We are so grateful for community members who share their time and music with us. Your kindness brings joy, comfort, and connection to our residents during this special time of year.

Our Story

The Wesleyan’s ministry began as a community vision to care for the aging in 1962. The Wesleyan began as a community collaboration of The Methodist Church, The Williamson County Sun, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and the citizens of Georgetown to be the first in the city to provide for the aging. That vision came to fruition on September 10, 1962 when the first resident moved into what was then The Wesleyan Retirement Home.Since then, The Wesleyan has grown with Georgetown and the region, leading the way in aging and health services, providing a full continuum of care, promoting a vibrant philosophy of well-being, and championing a new bountiful experience of aging full of purpose, passion, and possibility.True to it’s roots, The Wesleyan still pursues a vision nourished by deep relationships — relationships among those it serves and its teammates, and relationships with the people of Georgetown and Central Texas.
