This week is National Volunteer Week, a time to recognize the people who show up, step in, and make our communities stronger every day. Across Georgetown, our partners are powered by volunteers. Neighbors helping neighbors, often behind the scenes and without recognition. Their time, compassion, and commitment are what turn ideas into impact.

We’re grateful to the organizations and volunteers doing this work every day. Thank you for showing what community really looks like! Tag a Georgetown organization or volunteer who deserves recognition!

Augusta energy, Georgetown greens! ⛳️

We brought The Masters to the MCO Beer Cup Putt Putt, where every hole had a little more pressure and a lot more fun. From smooth putts to not-so-smooth ones… it was awesome to support the Georgetown Family YMCA!

We had a tee-rific time! ⛳️ Thanks for the hard work you do Georgetown Family YMCA!

On World Health Day, we're reminded of something we already know: that the heart of a healthy community is the people showing up for it.

In Georgetown and across Williamson County, dedicated organizations are opening their doors to neighbors who need primary care, a safe place to sleep, food on the table, and so much more. This day is a reminder that health is about so much more than medicine; it's about community, dignity, and making sure everyone has what they need to thrive.

We are grateful and humbled to support the people and organizations making that vision a reality. Today and every day, we celebrate them.

For many older adults in Williamson County, getting to a doctor's appointment or picking up groceries is not as simple as it sounds. Faith In Action Georgetown made 13,000 rides possible last year, making sure 789 seniors could access the care, food, and community they deserve.

Real stories. Real impact.

When life gets hard, no family should have to face it alone. Wonders & Worries provides free, professional support to children and families navigating a parent's serious illness, offering comfort, connection, and hope during one of the most difficult seasons a family can experience.

The Beaudoin family has lived that journey. Their words are a beautiful reminder of why this work matters so much. We are proud to call Wonders & Worries a partner.

We are proud to announce the dedication of The Paulette Taylor Legacy Room at the Carver Center for Families, a space created to honor the life and legacy of a woman who has given so much to this community.

Mrs. Paulette Taylor spent years as an educator with GISD, served as President of the Georgetown Cultural Citizens Memorial Association, and has been a tireless advocate for preserving the history of the TRG neighborhood and the stories of those connected to the former Carver and Westside schools.

This Legacy Room is more than a dedication; it's a living space for reflection, storytelling, and community learning. A place where the history she helped preserve will continue to be remembered and shared for generations to come.
