As September comes to an end, we here at VERTEX Counseling and Wellness reflect on the importance of su***de awareness. Su***de impacts more than just an individual, it impacts a whole community. It is important to be aware of the many warning signs. It is also important to be aware of protective factors that can protect an individual from su***de. As su***de awareness month comes to a close, we must celebrate survivors everyday and remember that every life matters.

Today we have witnessed a series of distressing reports unfold after the decision of the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Political transitions are challenging and stressful, regardless of your beliefs or where you fall on the political spectrum. The uncertainty of politics can cause unexpected distress and anxiety.

This news affects us all and we want to encourage you to care for yourself acknowledge and attend to whatever emotions rise up throughout the day. Be kind to yourself and others.
