Power Yoga - The core of this class is inspired by Ashtanga Yoga. It is great for building core strength.

This is a more vigorous style flow connecting movement with breath. It is an intermediate level class however modifications will be given for all levels. Gentle Yoga - A great class for people who are new to yoga or for those who want to focus on stretching, proper alignment, and posture. Chair Yoga - A gentle form of yoga that is practiced from sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support.

Sometimes I look at my Instagram feed and I feel jealous of other yogi’s beautiful poses. Then I take a moment to pause and reflect. We are all at different stages of our journey. And we don’t know what is happening behind the scenes. Did someone help them into the pose? How long did they hold it (maybe only a few moments). This is what my handstand practice really looks like. I still don’t feel confident in this pose. So I like to practice with a spotter. It is okay to modify, use blocks, or have a spotter. Some poses may never feel right for your body and that’s ok. The most important lesson is to listen to your body, and don’t compare yourself or your poses to others. Remember, there is no perfect in yoga. If you are hurting during the pose, you’ve pushed too far. Back off and find your breath. Yoga is about finding balance between effort and ease. I’m still working on this myself. I haven’t been practicing any arm balances for several weeks due to a shoulder injury. Hopefully with rest and therapy I’ll be back at it again soon.

I have decided to take a break from teaching classes for the Fall. I’m trying to see as many of Drew’s games as I can this year. And I’ve only been home a day or two a week. I am very thankful for all of you! And feel grateful to be teaching yoga and doing something that I love. Family has and always will be the most important part of my life. I feel blessed to have a flexible job and be able to see so many of Drew’s games. I’ll let you know when I’m going to start up classes again. Thank you for your understanding. Namaste 🙏🏻

Sorry I have been MIA the last two weeks. It has been really busy since we took Mia to school. My Fall schedule is going to change from week to week since we will be heading to Ohio Wesleyan a lot. Since it is Drew’s senior year of soccer we will be trying to make as many games as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Thankful for the time that I got to spend with them this summer. Big changes coming soon for our family. We will be taking Mia to High Point this week to start her freshman year. Hoping yoga helps me through this transition.

Finally home after an amazing trip out west. As my kids get older I realize that family time really is fleeting and priceless. So many memories made on this wonderful trip. Zion National Park was our favorite place. “Fill your life with experiences, not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show”.

In 2010 I started having a lot of health issues. I had struggled for years with fatigue and muscle and joint pain. But slowly over time new symptoms were arising and the old ones were getting worse. It got so bad that I could barely get out of bed no matter how much sleep I got. I went from being a marathon runner to not being able to walk up my steps without taking a break halfway. I couldn’t even tie my shoes. My kids had to help me. If I bent over I would feel so dizzy and I was afraid I would pass out. All of the sudden I had high blood pressure and my resting pulse was 121. I was also dealing with severe headaches, neck and back pain, and a lot of other neurological symptoms. After going to several Drs searching for answers, I was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease. I remember feeling relieved and thankful that I finally had a diagnosis. Little did I know that things were going to get worse before they got better. It was a long road to recovery and I got very depressed and bitter. After two years of treatment I remember waking up one day and telling myself that I needed to focus on the positive and be grateful. Even if it was as small as my big toe doesn’t hurt today. And each day I felt a little better. To this day I still take herbs to fight Lyme disease but I no longer see myself as a victim. The attitude of gratitude is amazingly powerful! 🙏🏻💫
