This song “Trust the Process” felt appropriate for this post because we’ve had some big bumps lately with our plans to build to the north.

The site survey results came back mid December and we found out that all of the utility lines were in between the current lot South View sits on, and the lot we would build on.

After civil engineers met with the city to ask for an easement and did research into what it would cost to move those lines, it was clear it is not financially feasible to build north as we had hoped.

However, there are options to build to the East. Here is a video showing an exterior view of that.

A few positives we didn’t have with the north addition:
1. 5 new rooms instead of 4 because we would have to move room 12.
2. The sunroom would have a beautiful east facing view to see the sunrise every morning. 🌅

So, we are trusting the process. 😉

South View has a room open waiting for your loved one! 💜

We get many questions about everything we offer at South View, and it can be confusing for consumers to differentiate between an assisted living facility and a nursing home.

Each assisted living facility can determine the level of care it will provide. At South View, we do much more than a traditional AL offers, and we do almost everything a nursing home offers, except things like physical therapy.

A few examples of what a "high-level assisted living" like South View does provide:

💜Hoyer and EZ stand lift transfers or 2-person transfers
💜Dementia Care

Also, if your loved one comes to live at South View, they can stay without having to transfer to a higher level of care as their needs change, unlike in traditional assisted living facilities. 💜

Expansion update‼️

Brunton architects had 3 General Contractors here today to bid on the project. The plan is to break ground in May, adding 4 more care suites, and a large common space for residents, families and staff. 🙌🏼
