It's a conversation many families put off. Planning ahead can make a big difference.

Long-term care insurance is something many people consider when preparing for future care needs.

Here are a few reasons why it can matter:

• It may help protect retirement savings
• Even a few hours of daily support can add up quickly
• Long-term care often includes help with everyday tasks like bathing, meals, and dressing
• Many people are surprised to learn that Medicare generally does not cover long-term care

Planning ahead can bring peace of mind for both individuals and families.

Hi friends, Max here again! 🐾

Today is Earth Day, and I have been enjoying the sunshine, fresh air, and a few extra walks outside.

Taking care of our planet helps keep our communities healthy, beautiful, and full of life for residents, families, and even therapy dogs like me.

So today I am celebrating the simple things. Green grass, warm sunshine, and time spent together outdoors. 🌎💛

Don't forget to step outside and enjoy the day!

At just 22 years old, E. O.’s life changed in an instant after a devastating motorcycle accident.

Before the accident, he was fully independent—working as a pilot and competing in bodybuilding. When he arrived at Spokane Falls Care, he was unable to bear weight, relied on a wheelchair, and had no movement in his left shoulder.

But with determination, hard work, and the support of a dedicated therapy team, his recovery took an incredible turn.

Just 45 days later, he walked out on his own.

“I did this in less than 3 months. That’s success—and Spokane Falls Care played a big part in that.”

Stories like this are a powerful reminder that recovery takes grit, skilled care, and a team that believes in what’s possible every step of the way. 💛 .care

Grief does not always begin after a loss.

Sometimes it begins long before.

It is called anticipatory grief, and it can happen when someone you love is facing serious illness or decline.

You might feel sadness, worry, exhaustion, or even guilt all at the same time.

If you are experiencing this, you are not alone. These feelings are more common than many people realize.

Supporting families emotionally is just as important as supporting them medically. These conversations matter.

Hi friends, Max here! 🐾

Today is National Pet Day, and I wanted to give a big shoutout to some of the very best coworkers around… our amazing facility dogs.

At Cherrywood Care, Sadie is always ready with tail wags and cuddles.
Over at Fir Lane Care, Crowley is spreading smiles one visit at a time.
Puget Sound Care has BuggZ bringing plenty of comfort and cheer.
And at Monroe Care, Brodie is making residents feel right at home.

From quiet moments spent sitting beside someone to joyful visits full of wagging tails, these pups help bring comfort, companionship, and a little extra happiness to our communities every day.

Pets have a special way of making a place feel like home, and we are so lucky to have these four-legged team members as part of ours. 💛

Happy National Pet Day from all of us (and plenty of paw-fives)! 🐾

Health is about more than medicine.

It is about movement.
Connection.
Support.
And the people who show up every day to care for others.

On World Health Day, we are celebrating the caregivers, therapists, nurses, and team members who help create healthier, stronger communities.

Because great care does not just treat people. It uplifts them. 💛

Hi friends, it’s Max! 🐾

I’ve been hopping around the community today spreading tail wags, smiles, and a little Easter cheer.

There may have been a few treats involved… but don’t worry. I shared the love with residents and staff too.

From my four paws to your family, wishing you a very happy Easter filled with warmth, laughter, and sweet moments together. 💛

Love,
Max

Big impact happens in the smallest moments.

April is National Occupational Therapy Month, and we are celebrating the incredible OT professionals who help residents regain independence, confidence, and everyday joy.

From practicing daily routines to rebuilding strength and mobility, occupational therapists help turn challenges into victories.

Every step forward matters. We are grateful for the team members who make those steps possible every day. 💛

Drop a 👏 to thank an OT who makes a difference.

Hi friends, Max here. 🐾
This month we’re celebrating Long Term Care Administrator’s Week and the leaders who keep our communities running with care and purpose.
Administrators guide teams, support residents, and help create environments where people feel safe, heard, and valued. I see the impact every day and trust me, it’s something worth celebrating. Tail wags for our amazing administrators. 💛
