Ever feel a sharp pinch or “grabbing” pain in the top of your shoulder?
It might not be your shoulder joint at all.

Your shoulder blade needs to smoothly slide across your rib cage every time you move your arm. When it doesn’t, tension, pain, and restricted movement can show up fast.

This technique helps restore normal movement to the shoulder blade (scapulothoracic joint), improves shoulder function, and honestly—feels amazing.

This adjustment looks different because the goal is different.

A cervical drop piece was used to improve side-bending motion at the atlanto-occipital joint. Every spine is unique, and care is always individualized—not one-size-fits-all.

This patient has a history of neck injuries and scar tissue, so we approached her care differently to reduce muscle guarding and apprehension—allowing us to be more effective in addressing neck pain and headache relief.

Court Sports!
This week has been the week of Achilles injuries in our office — and oh boy, can we help. This visit was a particularly interesting patient experience. David has dealt with lower-back issues on and off for years, so we used a patient laying face down ankle-specific adjustment technique designed to avoid yanking or jarring his lower back. At the same time, it was still effective enough to help his subtalar joint release, despite the scar tissue from previous injuries keeping it locked up.

The controlled comfort is in the details. Not your typical neck manipulation of bend and twist. Each patient responds to different types of manipulation. This is a great example for chronic headaches and lots of muscle guarding. Note we had a release on the first thrust but it just felt like we didn’t get the AtlasOcciput joint to fully release so we hit it again at a deeper level 😮‍💨

Your ribs move every time you breathe, twist, or even reach overhead.
When a rib stops moving properly, due to stress, posture, impact, or repetitive microtrauma, it can cause:
• Pain around the spine, shoulder blade or sternum!
• Pain wrapping from your back around to the front of the chest
• Difficulty taking a full breath
• Tension and stiffness that pulls in the neck

Ribs aren’t just “bone”—they’re part of a dynamic, flexible system.
A mechanical problem can create very real discomfort.
