Turkey Trot Fun at Heron’s Key!

We got a head start on our Thanksgiving festivities with a fun Turkey Trot around the pond! Residents and team members bundled up, put on their festive turkey crowns, and enjoyed a few spirited laps together. This year, we had two top finishers, each proudly posing with the coveted turkey hat!

It was the perfect way to lead into the holiday, a little movement, and a lot of joy.

Good news from Heron’s Key!

We’re excited to share that our Social Accountability Committee has selected the recipients of our first annual community grant awards, a meaningful milestone in our commitment to giving back and supporting important work across the community.

These grants will help strengthen programs that support older adults, encourage volunteerism, and uplift the greater Gig Harbor community.

We’ll be celebrating with our grant partners on December 3rd, and you can learn more about this year’s recipients and the details of the program in our latest blog post below.

Today, several of our residents and team members who have proudly served our country attended the Annual Gig Harbor Veterans Day Celebration, joining others in the community to recognize the courage and sacrifice of all who have worn the uniform.

At Heron’s Key, we are deeply grateful to the veterans who call our community home. Your stories, strength, and service continue to inspire us each and every day.

Thank you for your dedication and for the many ways you continue to enrich our lives and our country.

We were honored to welcome the talented students of Swift Water Elementary School for a special Veterans Day performance! Their heartfelt songs and smiles brought so much joy to our community as we celebrated and recognized those who have served.

A sincere thank you to our local students for helping us pay tribute to the veterans who call Heron’s Key home.

Residents and team members joined in a festive Halloween parade through the community, showcasing imaginative themes and group ideas, from storybook favorites and movie classics to clever pairings. Some even drew inspiration from meaningful traditions like Día de los Mu***os, beautifully celebrating culture and connection.

A wonderful day that captured the creativity and community spirit we cherish at Heron’s Key!

The great burger debate continues! A few of our residents recently set out on a fun day trip from Gig Harbor to Vancouver to visit Washington’s very first In-N-Out Burger.

It was a two-hour trek fueled by laughter, good company, and (of course) great burgers!
