Thank you for being here & choosing to seek out feeding services, collaborate, partner, or support RPT in 2024 ✨

A new family recently asked how many times I had done an evaluation since it seemed so natural. I don’t have the exact number right now, but we are approaching over 300 evaluations at Roots! Wow. 🤯 Thank you so, so much.

Our work is not done until is a household name and people get their diagnosis for PFD or ARFID YEARS before they currently do!

For providers, use the term pediatric feeding disorder in your paperwork and conversations with everyone. Make it known this is more than “picky eating.”

For families, it’s never too late, but earlier help is easier. Reach out for help if you need it. 🥰

💭 What story do you really believe about mealtime?

“I’ve messed it all up. I caused this. I didn’t feed them right from the start.”

“I should have done more solids.”

“I didn’t try hard enough. I listed to too many other people.”

“This is the single most difficult part of my life. I want to crawl in a hole.”

I wish I was exaggerating… but you know it’s time to get help when a quick hospital stay away from family sounds better than serving one more meal. 😔

🌟 Our team is growing again. What an honor to share that! 🌟

✅ Now, we need a fearless leader and it might be you! It took me over 4 years to hire another therapist and it has been the best decision. The amount of opportunity for growth we have as therapists, and the collaboration we are able to do to better serve families has been priceless.

👏🏽 Saying NO to families over and over and over again kept me up at night. I figured out how to be a YES business again. We might still have a waitlist, but almost always, we can find a way to get families in for specialty feeding therapy services - within the week or two!

July 2024: Roots Pediatric Therapy LLC is 5️⃣ years old this month! We started in Scottsdale, transitioned to Mesa, and now have our cozy office in Gilbert, Arizona 🌵. We started out as a specialty feeding therapy company owned, operated, and sustained by one lady: Me! 😅

This month will be full of reflection and gratitude. We now have a mighty team of five and have served hundreds and hundreds of families! Thank you so, so much for believing in me and trusting us with the most vulnerable pieces of your lives. ❤️

Let us know who you are and how you know us. I really miss being active around here and connecting with so many beautiful, bright souls. 🫶🏽

A student asked me, "Is there a need for feeding?"

Get this: 1 in 37 children under the age of 5 are impacted by pediatric feeding disorder ()

YES! There is a need for more practitioners to fill the gaps in care by specializing in feeding. Families need and deserve to be supported and feel less alone when their child struggles to eat.

I'm an open book! Anyone can ask me about feeding therapy anytime. 🫶🏽 Just know, you are not alone. Xx
