Spicy Truth: “Botox stopped working for me. I switched to Dysport and it’s so much better.”

I hear this all the time. And I get it. It genuinely feels that way for a lot of people. But here’s the truth: Botox and Dysport are both botulinum toxin type A.

Clinically, neither one is stronger than the other. What changes is the dilution, the unit conversion, and how they diffuse in the tissue.

When someone feels like one “works better”, what’s usually actually happening is they got a different dose, a different injector, or treatment at a different point in their muscle cycle.

This is why I don’t just switch products when something isn’t working. I look at what’s actually behind it. That’s the difference between chasing a feeling and having a real plan.

We spend a lot of time and energy treating the face. And for good reason (it’s where most of us notice ageing first).

But hands are one of the most telling signs of age and one of the most overlooked areas in aesthetic treatment planning.

Sun damage, volume loss, visible veins, texture changes. The face gets treated. The hands get forgotten.
