So excited to enter our THIRD year of partnership with ASU to offer✌🏼masters-level intern clinicians here at Collab. Keep a look out for more information this week about intern sessions and scheduling, but first, meet Anthony Mechfield!
Hello, my name is Anthony. I am dedicated to my studies and excited to begin applying evidence-based theories in clinical sessions. I am passionate about becoming a marriage and family therapist, as it brings together two of my core interests: helping people and lifelong learning.
Outside of my academic work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our dogs and cats, and with family and friends. I value being active and curious, and enjoy hiking and camping, biking, indoor rock climbing, and strength training. I also love games of all kinds and immersing myself in stories through books, television, and films—particularly in the genres of biography, documentary, comedy, science fiction, and fantasy.
I grew up with five younger siblings and moved approximately every three years, living in Arizona, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Texas, and Utah. These experiences helped shape my adaptability and appreciation for diverse perspectives. I am grateful for the opportunity to join Collaborative Counseling Institute and support their mission of creating a space where individuals, couples, and families feel empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.
