As you welcome your new baby, your days are going to blur together.
They’ll be filled with naps, many of them contact naps.
They’ll be filled with feedings, some of them long, frequent, and never-ending.
Naps will feel unpredictable. Nights may feel like a whirlwind.
And all of this is okay, because it’s normal.
In these early weeks, your only jobs are feeding, connection, and rest.
If I could offer one piece of guidance, it would be this:
🤍 Create a simple start to your day, and a simple end to your day.
🤍 Plan to go to bed when your baby goes to bed — even if that’s 9 or 10pm.
Choose a gentle, consistent wake-up time for both of you, maybe one that includes fresh coffee and warm sunshine around 8am.
🤍 When the beginning and end of your day feel steady…
…your feeds, wake windows, and naps naturally begin to fall into place.
No pressure. No textbook. Just a simple, supportive rhythm.🤍
