Amazing!

A fascinating new study shows that women who wore rose essential oil on their clothes for just 30 days experienced a significant increase in gray matter volume across the whole brain, as revealed by MRI scans. This suggests that simple, natural aromatherapy may have measurable effects on brain structure and cognitive health.

Gray matter is crucial for memory, learning, and emotional regulation, and its increase could indicate enhanced neural connectivity and brain function. Researchers believe that the pleasant aroma of rose oil may stimulate brain activity and neuroplasticity, potentially supporting mental well-being and cognitive resilience.

Incorporating rose essential oil into daily life is easy, just adding a few drops to clothing, scarves, or fabrics could provide a subtle yet powerful brain-boosting effect. While more research is needed to fully understand the long-term impact, this study highlights the potential of natural scents to influence brain health in meaningful ways.

This discovery opens a new chapter in exploring how aromatherapy and lifestyle practices can support neurological function and mental wellness.

Co-regulation isn’t about fixing someone.
It’s about showing up — calm, steady, and present — so their nervous system can remember what safety feels like.
That’s what secure attachment really is: not perfection, but presence.

Supporting chikdren with emotions and behaviors is what we do!

At eight, feelings start to grow faster than the brain can keep up.
Children are beginning to notice fairness, friendship dynamics, and their own internal world — but their emotional regulation skills are still under construction.

What you see as mood swings or overreactions are often signs of a brain learning to manage new complexity.
They don’t need to be told to calm down — they need calm to borrow from.

Feed the tennis balls!
This is a great hand strengthening activity as kids need to squeeze the balls to open their 'mouths'.

You don’t need to test for Cerebral Folate deficiency to see the benefits of Folinic acid. Folinic acid is a form of folate, much better tolerated than methylfolate for some people and it assists in methylation. If you aren’t methylating your body isn’t detoxing well. When we see inflammation in the body and brain often times methylation could be the issue.
