It was a wonderful opportunity to speak about perimenopause & menopause at a community event.
Rekha Aggarwal, MD shared insights on the conventional approach, while Meghna Thacker, NMD highlighted the naturopathic perspective.
Together, it created a truly holistic & integrative conversation around an important phase that every woman experiences.
Grateful to be part of empowering women with knowledge, awareness, and support.
Thank you AZIndia Media for featuring our event in your monthly newspaper. The article was written by Manju Reddy, Certified Health Coach & Yoga Teacher and was organized by Manju ji & Sudha Ji at Shirdi Sai Baba Temple of AZ.

Learning how to keep boundaries was hard.
At first it felt uncomfortable, even unnatural.
But over time I realized that boundaries are not walls — they are acts of self-respect.
They protect our energy, our peace, and our purpose.

Chapter 6 of my book, Seven Steps to Heal Your Thyroid is called "Emotional Healing" and addresses this topic in depth. Available on Amazon- in paperback Kindle & Audiobook!

There is no purely good or bad person. Life exists in polarities—yin and yang, light and dark, hot and cold. Each contrast helps us understand the other.
Our childhood experiences shape who we become, but what we create from those experiences is our own unique journey.
Less judgment, more understanding.

This picture was taken almost 10 years ago—at a time when my world shook. It was a wake-up call for me to turn inward, do the work, and create strong boundaries. The journey since then has been both fulfilling and challenging, and I am deeply grateful for every step because it shaped the woman I am today.
The incredibly talented photographer brought my vision to life as we shot this in the Arizona desert, surrounded by the majestic Saguaro cacti. I have always felt drawn to the richness of Indigenous culture. I’m wearing a traditional squash blossom necklace—an iconic piece in Native American jewelry that symbolizes protection, strength, and connection to heritage. I’m also holding a Native American flute, which I was learning to play at the time, an instrument known for its soulful sound and its deep connection to nature, storytelling, and healing.
Looking back at this moment reminds me how powerful transformation can be when we listen to that inner call to grow.

Emotions are real, but they are not permanent.
Feel them. Acknowledge them.
But don’t make lifelong decisions based on temporary feelings.
Pause. Breathe. Respond with awareness, not reaction.

To Feel Your Best Self, awareness is key.
Emotions come and go, but learning how to process them is where true growth happens.

Over the last decade, one of the most important commitments I’ve made is to work on my mental and emotional health.
In fact, in my book Seven Steps to Heal Your Thyroid, I dedicated Chapter 6 to “Emotional Healing.” Because healing the body is not just about nutrition, supplements, or medication — it’s also about learning how to process our feelings and emotions.
Unresolved emotional stress can quietly contribute to chronic disease, hormonal imbalances, and thyroid dysfunction.
True healing begins when we acknowledge what we feel, give ourselves compassion, and create space to heal from within.
Taking care of your mental and emotional health is not a luxury — it’s a foundation for disease prevention and overall well-being.
Your mind and body are always connected. When one heals, the other follows. 🤍

Don't accept the answer "That’s how you feel in your 40s" or " That’s just aging and how you are supposed to feel."

✨ Breaking News for Women’s Health! ✨
After 20 years, the FDA has officially lifted the black-box warning on Hormone Therapy (HRT) — a monumental step for women everywhere.

For two decades, women were denied a foundational therapy that:
💪 Prevents bone loss
❤️ Is cardio-protective
🧠 Helps prevent dementia
😌 And eases menopausal symptoms like hot flashes, mood changes, sleep issues & low energy

I feel so grateful to have offered Hormone Therapy for the last 18 years in my practice because I’ve seen how it transforms women’s lives.
Women still fly from out of state to see me for HRT… that’s how impactful it can be.
Now it’s time to celebrate this decision and help more women access safe, effective, and life-changing hormone therapy — without fear. 💖

I would like to Thank some people who worked on this cause relentlessly and made it happen for all of us

Stop Normalizing Birth Control Pills as a “Fix” for Irregular Cycles!
Too often, young women are quickly prescribed Birth Control Pills (BCPs) when they complain about irregular cycles.
I see patients who have been on the pill since their teens—sometimes for 15–20 years—and only come off when they’re ready to have children.
That means their body hasn’t made hormones naturally for years because ovarian function was essentially suppressed.
I can’t even imagine the long-term effects this has on their hormonal, metabolic, and emotional health.
In Naturopathic Medicine, we focus on finding and treating the root cause — not just masking symptoms.
✨ We run comprehensive bloodwork
🌿 Use botanical and nutritional therapies
🍎 Support with diet, exercise, and stress management
👩‍⚕️ And when needed, collaborate with GYNs for further evaluation (like a transvaginal ultrasound).
Let’s empower women with information and stop making the pill the “easy fix.”
Your cycle is a vital sign — it deserves to be understood, not suppressed.
