Over 100 attended last weekend's Vashon Island Fruit Club's annual salmon bbq.

Members enjoyed amazing appetizers, salads, side dishes and desserts they made - as well as live music by Jon Quinn.

It was a lot of work, but a success. Thanks to all our friends who joined and for all the volunteers!

Our sister hospital, Florence Hospital at Anthem, was honored to host the nonprofit organization, Archangel, who recognized one of their Emergency Department nurses, Grace Astgen, for her act of courage and kindness during the Las Vegas shooting. Grace was vacationing with her family in Las Vegas when the tragedy occurred and immediately went into “ nurse mode” when she saw the need for help. Grace’s offering of self in a dangerous situation speaks volumes to her dedication and compassion to others in need. We are fortunate to have this young lady as a part of the Florence Hospital at Anthem’s team. Congratulations!
