We played a fun Forever Best Friend game — just like the classic Newlywed Game, but for friends. It was all about seeing how well you really know your bestie. The sweetest surprise was discovering how many people found their best friends right here in our senior community. A heartwarming reminder that it’s never too late to make meaningful connections.

Arizona may be a long way from New Orleans, but that didn’t stop us from celebrating Mardi Gras in style. We enjoyed a festive menu, a slice of king cake, a classic hurricane, and of course — plenty of beads. A fun and flavorful way to bring a little NOLA spirit to the desert!

This week, we enjoyed the wonderful sounds of the Venture Out Swing Band from Mesa. It was such a joy reliving old memories and hearing great music from the past. These talented musicians volunteer their time to perform and raise money for the Mesa schools' arts and music program – a truly meaningful cause paired with an unforgettable evening.

This month is where love and friendship begins. We kicked things off with a Valentine dinner then kept the fun going with a happy hour. Valentine’s happy hour was a blast with music, dancing, party treats and nonstop smiles. Grateful for the memories and the people who make life sweet.

The ladies group from The Islands stopped by to drop off Valentine’s gifts for the residents of Copper Springs. Each women received a special gift bag, and the men received one of their own. Such a thoughtful gesture and a sweet Valentine treat for everyone.

We celebrated Pizza Day with delicious homemade pizzas crafted by Chef Matt. Everyone was excited to try the different creations, and each slice was a hit!

We took a wonderful trip with our veterans, their spouses, and friends to the Air Force Commemorative Museum in Mesa. The group had an amazing time learning from the knowledgeable tour guides, seeing historic aircraft up close, and hearing powerful stories from our nation’s past. Thank you Jon Mottesheard for organizing this memorable outing.

Our resident, Bob, leads our Tai Chi class, and he’s done such a wonderful job that the room is now completely full. It’s a peaceful, refreshing way to start the day, and the sense of calm and community is truly special. Here’s to more mornings focused on balance, wellness, and connection.
