Find your joy

Find your joy Joy is here, waiting for you to see it, and to touch it. No one else can discover it for you but you. I blinked. And my children grew up. NOW. Not tomorrow.

In my second year of being an empty nester, I had lost me. I had lost my feeling of self-worth, of being needed, of feeling that I was important, that I mattered. You see, my girls were my world. Now, it was just my husband Jeff and myself, and I felt a void within me. Something was missing, I felt incomplete. So, I began to fill that sense of emptiness with eating and gained a lot of weight.. I understood the importance of health and wellness, but had never truly practiced what I preached. I was so dedicated to helping others but had never made myself the priority. In November 2015, I finally realized that I needed to make a commitment to finding myself, to being healthy- mind, body and spirit. I had heard all the cliches – ‘you cannot serve from an empty cup’, in order to love others we must first love ourselves’. As a physical therapist I finally realized the importance of ‘walking the walk’, not just ‘talking the talk’. I recalled the story of the overweight physician, smoking a cigarette, telling his patients how important it was to be healthy. I NO LONGER wanted to be that hypocritical healthcare professional and knew that it was time to make a change. In time, I lost weight and partially found myself again. While I believe that when we have our health, we have it all, I realized that health is so much more than just weight loss. What was key was the comprehensive approach -the importance of the mind, body, spirit connection. Without that, the circle is incomplete. Over the past few years, I have grown spiritually as an individual. I first became a Certified Life Coach, then a Reiki Master and most recently, a Certified Nutritionist. I also returned to the healing practice of Craniosacral Therapy (this was my first ceu after graduating with my MSPT) and continue to take advanced and specialized courses including SomatoEmotional Release, Pediatrics and Conception/Birthing and Pregnancy. I believe that the more I learn, the more I grow, and the more empowered I became in helping others. This is my passion, my goal, and my journey. The BEST part of my journey is being able to help others embark on their own mind, body and spirit adventures, helping one "find your joy". I am extremely humbled and blessed as being humble means recognizing we are not on earth to see how important we can become, but to see how much difference we can make in the lives of others. Now, how can I help you?

Sometimes the stories we tell ourselves become the very things that hold us back.

Recently the words “let it go… let it go” came to mind — not just from the song, but as a gentle reminder.

I recently had a session with Jeff Delone, and it was incredibly freeing… a powerful reminder of what can happen when we allow ourselves to release what we’ve been holding onto.

What if we loosened our grip on the stories in our minds?

What if, instead of longing for something in the future, we allowed ourselves to feel the peace, joy, or abundance as if it already exists within us?

Sometimes letting go isn’t about losing something.

It’s about creating space for something new.

Your body doesn’t heal in urgency.
It heals when it feels safe.

Stillness isn’t doing nothing…
it’s giving your nervous system the conditions it needs to repair, rebalance, and restore.

So many of us are living in constant “go mode” — rushing, pushing, holding everything together.

But healing doesn’t happen in survival mode.

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that helps calm the nervous system and create the safety the body needs to unwind.

Safety is not a luxury. It’s the foundation of healing.

When the body feels safe… it begins to change.

Your nervous system is meant to heal. Sometimes it simply needs the right conditions.

This work supports your body exactly where it is and allows it to move toward balance in its own time and wisdom.

During my virtual CranioSacral Therapy class this week, these words were shared:

If you think you are doing nothing, know that something is happening.
When you want to do more, do less.
In the nothingness, there is everything.
In the simplicity, we find the profound.

In a world that praises productivity and constant motion, we can forget the power of stillness.

Healing happens in quiet moments.
Clarity comes when we slow down.
The nervous system softens when we allow ourselves to simply be.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do… is pause.

During my recent CranioSacral Therapy training, we reflected on what it truly means to hold space.

“What does it mean to hold space for someone else?
It means we are willing to walk alongside another person in whatever journey they’re on without judging them, making them feel inadequate, trying to fix them, or trying to impact the outcome.”

When we hold space, we open our hearts, offer unconditional support, and let go of judgment and control.

This is the essence of Upledger CranioSacral Therapy — being present, neutral, and creating a safe space where the body’s inner wisdom can guide the healing process.

No fixing. No forcing. Just gentle support and deep listening.

Many who come for this work are navigating:

• anxiety and nervous system overwhelm
• chronic pain or fibromyalgia symptoms
• headaches, migraines, or jaw tension
• stress held in the body
• recovery from injury, trauma, or emotional strain
• feeling exhausted, stuck, or unable to fully relax

When the body feels safe and supported… it can begin to soften, release, and restore balance. Take time to...

This work continues to humble and inspire me every day 🧡

Some mornings begin in quiet preparation…
soft light through the window, a treatment table waiting, and space being held for what the body is ready to share.

Today I begin a four-day craniosacral therapy course focused on the cranial nerves — deepening my understanding of the nervous system and the subtle ways the body communicates, protects, and heals.

Each layer of learning continues to remind me:
healing is not something we force.
It is something we allow.

Sometimes the most profound shifts happen in stillness…
when the nervous system feels safe enough to soften,
when the body is listened to rather than corrected,
when we give ourselves permission to simply be.

May you move through today with gentleness toward yourself.
May you listen to what your body is asking for.
May you create space for quiet moments of restoration.

As we move into the Year of the Horse — a time symbolizing forward movement and renewed vitality — I’m reminded how powerful it is to release what we carry.

One of the greatest honors of this work is witnessing the body return to balance and ease.

I’m deeply grateful when clients share their experiences, and with permission, I’d love to share these kind words:

✨"I cannot stress enough how wonderful Marci is at what she does — her true calling is energy work.

She was able to reset me in such a positive and uplifting way. The craniosacral therapy relieved a tremendous amount of stress I was holding in my neck and jaw.

I left feeling lighter, balanced, and filled with new energy.

I would highly recommend her for stress reduction, winter reset, neck and headache pain, energy work, and chakra balancing. She is an hour away from me but totally worth the drive for her healing hands."✨

Healing begins when the nervous system feels safe.

Lately I’ve been reminded of something important:

We are not responsible for someone else’s readiness.

Whether it’s healing, growth, change, or simply slowing down — each of us moves at our own pace. And that’s okay.

There have been moments in my life where I wasn’t ready yet. Not because I didn’t want peace or healing, but because my timing wasn’t aligned.

I see this often in my work too. Seeds get planted. Sometimes they bloom quickly. Sometimes they take time.

And that’s not failure. That’s process.

Today, I’m honoring timing — mine and everyone else’s.

Trust your pace.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY TUESDAY

Your body is always listening — even when life feels loud.

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that supports the nervous system in finding balance, safety, and ease. Rather than forcing change, this work invites the body to soften, settle, and reconnect with its own natural rhythm.

Many people come in feeling overwhelmed, tense, or “stuck in go-mode.” As the body feels supported and safe, the nervous system often begins to unwind — breath deepens, muscles soften, and a sense of calm can return.

Healing doesn’t always require doing more.
Sometimes it begins by allowing the body to be heard.

If your nervous system has been craving rest, warmth, and regulation — especially on days like this — Craniosacral Therapy can be a beautiful place to begin.

Trust your timing. The door is always open. 💛

Sharing this from my business page because this work is so close to my heart 💛

We are not meant to do life alone.

There is something deeply healing about being witnessed, supported, and held in community — especially in a world that often asks us to stay strong, keep going, and carry everything by ourselves.

I’ve seen again and again how nervous systems soften when we feel safe with others. When we are allowed to show up exactly as we are. When there is no fixing, no performing — just presence.

This is why community matters so much to me. Healing doesn’t always happen in isolation. Sometimes it happens in circles, in shared breaths, in quiet moments of connection.

As we approach our next Women’s Circle, (Monday 02/09/26 at 6:30 pm) I’m feeling especially grateful for the power of gathering — and for the reminder that we don’t have to walk this path alone.

May you find moments of connection today, in whatever form feels right for you.
