In February, seven neighbors received Hope Source grants totaling nearly $7,500 to access mental health counseling. And this month, we saw more of the same stories:
• A student without insurance
• Individuals facing very high deductibles
• Someone choosing the cash rate because it was more affordable — but still difficult to manage
• An employer who changed insurance providers, leaving no local mental health clinics covered
These aren’t rare situations. They’re happening right here in our community.
After reviewing the numbers, we’ve seen that demand for Hope Source assistance has grown nearly 50% year over year — reflecting both increased awareness and increased need for mental health services. While we’re encouraged that more individuals are reaching out for help, this growth also means we must continue strengthening the program to meet the rising demand.
To help sustain Hope Source for the future, we are hosting our first-ever Bids of Hope Online Auction, May 10–16 during Mental Health Awareness Week. You can support by:
• Donating an auction item
• Creating a themed basket
• Becoming an event sponsor ($100-$500): newcommunityhealth.org/bids-of-hope
Every sponsorship and every donated item helps us continue providing timely, confidential counseling assistance to individuals and families in our community.
Since launching in 2023, Hope Source has helped more than 150 neighbors access over $144,200 in mental health counseling across Campbell County and surrounding communities.
Your partnership ensures we can keep hope accessible when it’s needed most.
If you’d like to contribute an item, basket, or sponsorship, we would love to connect with you. DM us, or contact us at info@newcommunityhealth.org or 307.257.7057.
