Let’s bring imagination back!!!!
Have you ever seen a young child in the middle of an exercise where he or she is “using their imagination?” They are sooooo joyful. Then somewhere down the line most kids loose that ability to play in their minds. But it’s not lost. We can get it back. We just have to set that intention. Imagination is often considered vital to the human soul because it serves as a bridge between our inner selves and the vast possibilities of existence, fostering creativity, meaning, and connection. How can we get it back? Start playing more. Start tapping into creativity (painting, singing, drawing, etc.). Start doing meditation and/or guided imagery exercises. We deserve to have that joy that accompanies imagination back in our lives.

I am running a half marathon on Sunday, October 6, 2024, in San Jose, California. For me, any action is greatly enhanced when there is loving intention (a really powerful "why") behind that action. So, for this upcoming race, I am running for loved ones near and dear to me who are currently facing health challenges, including various types of cancer and a traumatic brain injury. This group consists of my brother Jerry, my friend Bev, my friend Michelle/Sharon, and another dear friend who are currently facing health challenges while holding every intention of crossing the finish line back to health. While they each continue to run their own personal race for health, their existing conditions require them each to dig deep and find a strength inside to move forward, and I have to say, it is impressive to watch. I am witnessing the emergence of their superpowers.

So, here's the deal. As I run my half marathon, all of the funds that I raise in this campaign will go to these 4 superheroes to assist them in paying for treatments not covered by insurance. Whether you are able to donate $5 or $25, you will help these people to afford supplements, complementary alternative therapies, and treatments that will get them back on their feet faster. For those not in the position to pitch in financially, I totally understand!!! Send them your love and support.

Hello Zen Room Family. There is a new class coming out of The Zen Room that has been percolating for a while. It is now ready for those of you going through or coming out of the challenging chapter of divorce.

Divorce: Rising Strong
Finding Strength and Healing – Emotionally Managing Divorce and Beyond

Divorce, by its very nature, can be scary, confusing and life changing for those who are considering it, in the middle of it, or coming out the other side. The process of divorce can be overwhelming from a legal standpoint and, for many, can be equally overwhelming emotionally. This class was designed with the intention to assist those struggling with this challenging chapter by providing insight, tools, and guidance to move through the emotional aspects with more grace. This class will be co-led by Dawn Culp, Owner of The Zen Room and Traci Mason, a seasoned Family Law Attorney. In essence, Dawn and Traci want to help those attending this class to move through their journey with grace and to find their own calm within the storm — to “Rise Strong” by finding strength and healing and learning to emotionally manage their divorce.

The class is $200.00. Pay your $50.00 deposit to hold your spot and the remaining $150.00 balance will be collected on class day.

Everything in life is deposits and withdrawals. We know that in finance and the same is true for our energy and overall wellness. This class will review the essential elements of Fire, Earth, Water, Air and Aether and review how more deposits and fewer withdrawals in each of these categories are a critical foundation for wellness.
