With Christmas right around the corner, we know how tempting it can be to surprise someone with a sweet little puppy under the tree… but please remember that puppies are a promise, not a present.

They require time, training, patience, and love every day of the year, not just during the holidays. ❤️ If you’re thinking about bringing home a pup this season, make sure you’re ready for the responsibility that comes with those floppy ears and wagging tails.

Just like us, our dogs need a little extra care when the temps drop. Here’s how to keep them healthy and happy all season long:

✔️ Keep them active: Shorter days and chilly weather can mean less exercise. Try indoor fetch, treat puzzles, or short brisk walks to keep them moving.
✔️ Watch their paws: Salt, ice, and cold pavement can cause irritation. Rinse and dry paws after walks, or try booties for extra protection.
✔️ Nutrition matters: High-quality food supports their immune system during the colder months. (We love for a reason!)
✔️ Cozy up: Make sure they have a warm, dry place to rest, especially working dogs coming in from the field.
