We are pleased to announce that Dr. Brandi Johns has joined the T.J. Health Columbia Primary Care team, working alongside Dr. Clinton Kiteck and nurse practitioners Chasity Biggerstaff and Beth Beard.

Dr. Johns earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition at the University of Kentucky and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

When asked why she pursued a career in medicine, Dr. Johns said, “My reason for becoming a physician may sound cliché, but it’s completely genuine — I wanted to help people. More specifically, I wanted to serve the community that shaped me. Giving back to the rural communities of central Kentucky, who poured into me and helped make me who I am today, is truly my greatest passion.”

“I love practicing medicine because I really love people,” Dr. Johns said. “My days are fast-paced and filled with many faces, but the time I spend with each patient is invaluable. I want every person I encounter to feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for. Walking alongside someone who is struggling with depression, elevated blood sugar, high blood pressure, or other challenges — and then seeing them succeed or begin to feel better — is what fuels my passion for this career.”

T.J. Regional Health’s mission closely aligns with Dr. Johns’ career goals. She said, “I strongly believe in the importance of bringing high-quality, state-of-the-art care to rural communities, ensuring that patients have access to the services they need close to home.”

Dr. Johns was born and raised in Campbellsville, where she met and married her high school sweetheart. They have two young sons who keep them on their toes and fill their days with energy and joy. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family outdoors, curled up with a good book, or cheering for the UK Wildcats.

Dr. Brandi Johns is now seeing patients from newborn babies to all ages of adulthood at T.J. Health Columbia Primary Care. Please call 270.384.4764 to schedule an appointment with her. Join us in welcoming Dr. Johns to the T.J. family!

Crothall’s Platinum Plus Designation represents the highest level of achievement within our Environmental Services (EVS) Division. Among more than 1,600 hospitals we serve nationwide, fewer than 10% earn this distinction. The award reflects exceptional performance across key areas, including patient satisfaction, safety, standardization, and financial stewardship.

We are proud to share that the Crothall EVS team at T.J. Regional has earned this designation for the third time in four years—a remarkable accomplishment that underscores their sustained excellence.

This achievement reflects the dedication, consistency, and high standards upheld by the T.J. EVS team. As we approach the 10-year mark of our partnership, we also recognize T.J. Regional Health’s leadership for their continued support and collaboration. This level of success would not be possible without a strong partnership. Their commitment to investing in EVS teams and providing the resources needed for success plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this outstanding accomplishment.
