After treating over a thousand migraine patients, I've found that most have this one thing in common: upper neck restrictions that compress the brainstem (trigeminal nucleus).
Here's a simple test you can do right now to see if this applies to you (takes 30 seconds):
1. Feel the deep soft tissue around the top vertebra of your neck (C1)
2. Turn your head slowly to the right, then left while feeling these bones
3. If one side feels tighter, you can't turn as far, is very tender, or gives you a “whiff” of a migraine when pressed firmly- this restriction could be triggering your migraines
This is often caused by:
* Old car accidents
* Sports injuries
* Falls
Even seemingly minor injuries from long ago could have caused this- especially if headaches started or got worse in the 1-2 years after the injury.
The good news? This can often be permanently improved without medications, injections or invasive procedures. We have dozens of migraine success stories from our practice over the last few months, one of whom went from daily migraines over years after failing many interventions to migraine-free after a single visit (sustained over a month now).
If you found a restriction and want help, text (860) 993-3516 to schedule an intake appointment including comprehensive history taking, initial biomechanical evaluation and treatment geared towards permanent improvements.
P.S. - We still have 5 intake slots reserved for new patients this month. Reach out now!
