What are the 4 Building Blocks of HOPE?
The 4 Building Blocks categorize the types of key Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) that all children need in order to thrive.
They are:
Relationships: Supportive relationships help children feel safe, valued, and connected
Environment: Safe, stable, and supportive environments that help children feel secure and ready to grow.
Engagement: Experiences where children are included and engaged build confidence, skills, and a sense of purpose.
Emotional Growth: Experiences that supporting emotional growth helps children understand their feelings, manage stress, and build coping skills.

🎉 Congratulations to Joseph R. of JFK Middle School (Enfield) who was recently awarded the North Central Act of Kindness Award! THANK YOU to ALL of our NCAOK sponsors, including Amplify, Inc. CT
The North Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce will be making a donation to this student’s selected charity; Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter. Please join us in adding to this donation here: https://www.alz.org/ct
Here’s a little bit about why this student was nominated; “Joe is a consistently kind and helpful student. He is always the first to offer assistance, whether a classmate needs help or a teacher needs a hand with equipment. Most recently, when a teacher fell in the hallway, Joe immediately stepped in to help and made sure she was okay, showing genuine care and maturity.”

🎉 Happy HOPE-ful Monday! 🎉
☀️What is Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE)?☀️
HOPE is a public health approach that shows how positive experiences and caring relationships help children thrive, even in the face of adversity.
😊What are Positive Childhood Experiences (PCE's)?😊
Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) are supportive relationships and environments in childhood that build resilience and promote healthy mental and physical development across the lifespan. These experiences don’t have to be big, just consistent!
💚Why do PCEs matter to young people, families and communities? 💚
Research shows that the more PCEs present in a child’s life, the more resilient they are when facing challenges and difficult life circumstances.
Scroll to learn more about PCEs and join us each week as we build HOPE: one block at a time.

We are the Regional Behavioral Health Action Organization for the 37 towns that make up the North Central region of Connecticut.
We support Local Prevention Councils (LPCs) in prevention efforts, regional Consumer Advisory Councils (CACs), and Way To Go CT. The CACs promote leadership skills for adults in recovery and focus on topics that benefit adults with psychiatric and/or addictive disorders.
Way To Go CT is a mobility management program for disabled and elderly people.
History:
Amplify was formerly known as the East of the River Action for Substance Abuse Elimination (ERASE) and the North Central Regional Mental Health Board (NCRMHB). ERASE was the regional action council that focused on substance abuse prevention services and coordinated efforts to improve services and leverage funds to meet the prevention and wellness needs of youth and their families.
The North Central Regional Mental Health Board (NCRMHB) was one of five regional mental health boards established by the Connecticut General Assembly in 1974 to study local needs, evaluate state funded mental health programs and make recommendations to the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), local providers, and government officials for improved and/or expanded services.
Amplify, Inc. continues to involve local people living with mental health or substance use disorders, family members, and others who know and care about them in its review, evaluation, planning and advocacy activities.
