Today is ! Did you know that veterans with PTSD are 3x more likely to have a drug addiction? The price of serving this country is immense, and we strive to serve those who have served us. That's why we offer a weekly veteran's support group, treatment for co-occurring disorders like PTSD, and have over a dozen veterans on staff across all departments.

If you're a veteran or know one who's battling addiction, give them the gift of a drug-free life this Veterans Day. We thank everyone for their service, and reach out to us today for support: https://mastercenter.com/addiction-treatment-for-veterans/

It was an amazing opportunity to connect with addiction professionals, hear from respected keynote speakers, and collaborate with many in the addiction medicine field on how to better serve our patients.

On Nov. 18th, our Chief Medical Officer and the Adult Psychiatric Access Line (APAL) Central Hub Medical Provider will hold an informational webinar on using buprenorphine in primary care settings!

In collaboration with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and Health Haven, our specialists will provide guidance on how primary care and emergency providers can initiate buprenorphine to manage patients' withdrawals, reduce overdose, and get them on the right path to long-term treatment. The Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.

We're thrilled to be able to provide such lifesaving information to more medical professionals and help them administer the proper care their patients need. Register for the free training here: https://www.pathlms.com/msv/courses/114588

Master Center is thrilled to participate in the 2025 Department of Human Resource Management conference! This week, our team connected with HR professionals from a wide variety of state agencies, universities, and departments to discuss how to break down stigma in the workplace and support employees with substance use disorder.

Additionally, our executive team delivered a compelling presentation on addiction in the workforce to a group of Virginia state agency HR directors. We're grateful to be able to expand education about addiction and effective treatment options.

Last week, some of our generous teammates at Glen Allen volunteered to help pack hygiene bags for Health Brigade, formerly Fan Free Clinic, a Richmond-based healthcare group providing affordable and accessible healthcare services to those in lower-income communities.

The bags included toiletries and cleaning items, along with Master Center resources and information. Thank you to these individuals for helping set up these kits, and we’re thankful to be able to serve these communities!

This week is National ! Veterans with PTSD are 2x more likely to have an addiction, and many veterans are unhoused, live with mental illness, or battle food insecurity.

This week is a time for veterans to connect or reconnect with their veteran friends–just to check in on them. This act may seem small, but it can mean the world to someone in this vulnerable population who needs help.
