Today our school had a returning visit from Scaly Tails RVA! The students got to visit with, handle and safely hold different lizards, snakes, dragons, and geckos while also learning about the types of habitats and climates they can live in. All the classes really enjoyed it and everyone had a great time hanging out with our scaly tail friends!

For the past week,Ms. Niger’a’s has been supporting , and coaching our school agers, as they have been hard at work, creating their own personal papier-mâché volcano explosions! Today was the best part of the project because they finally got to make their volcanos, erupt and explode!

Our Story

Tuckaway Innsbrook is situated conveniently as the only child care center in the Innsbrook Office Park. When the community was planned, Tuckaway was asked to build a center that was close to where parents worked, so they could visit their children during the day.

Tuckaway-Innsbrook's modern building design has two buildings: one for younger children and one for school age children. All children are separated into different classrooms by age so they can receive care appropriate for their individual stage of development. Innsbrook's preschool classrooms also feature supervised, ongoing computer access, so children are prepared for the increasingly technology-based elementary school curricula.

Innsbrook also offers large playgrounds so children have space to run and play, including a large multi-purpose hard-top play area built for bike riding or basketball, and to provide some even footing for Tuckaway's new walkers. Tuckaway's playgrounds also contain private, large, in-ground swimming pools carefully supervised by teachers and certified lifeguards, and sectioned off by swimming ability and age, to provide the utmost safety to every child. Tuckaway also provides swimming lessons at no additional charge.

Like all of the Tuckaway locations, Innsbrook always provides family-style dining with warm, home-cooked meals prepared in its very own kitchen. All of Tuckaway's menus are prepared according to USDA guidelines.
