THE GOOD LIST ALERT: “The best way to stay on the good list is to spread joy wherever you go.” -Santa

The Regency Resident Grab Bag Party was packed with holiday cheer, laughter, and just a little bit of mischief. The excitement kicked off with a very special guest—Santa Claus himself—who made sure everyone had their moment with the big guy. Whether it was a smile, a laugh, or a wish whispered his way, Santa brought joy to every corner of the room.

Just when we thought things couldn’t get any more festive, the Grinch showed up (again!), causing his usual trouble and even sneaking off with a gift or two. Luckily, no presents stayed missing for long, and his antics only added to the laughter and fun.

The party was a wonderful reminder of how special our Regency family truly is. Merry Christmas to all! And a huge thank-you to our incredible Head Elf, Annmarie, who took on the important mission of shopping for every single gift. Your thoughtfulness and hard work helped make Christmas magical for so many of us! 🎄🎅🎁💚✨

The Regency proudly held its annual Holiday Party to celebrate our wonderful and amazing staff. It was a special opportunity for coworkers to relax, sit and chat, and enjoy time together while sharing an incredible lunch prepared by Chef Pat. The afternoon was filled with holiday cheer, featuring festive gifts and exciting raffles that added to the celebration. Thank you to our favorite GRINCH, a.k.a. Erica (Our Safe Harbor Director) who made us all laugh. She stole a few gifts, too!

A heartfelt thank-you to our 99 dedicated staff members who give their all throughout the year- their tenure of 30+ years through 4 hours and everywhere in between! Your hard work, compassion, and commitment make The Regency a truly special place. 🎄✨

Hanukkah was joyfully celebrated each night in our lobby as residents gathered to honor the Festival of Lights together. The space glowed with special Hanukkah lighting when Rabbi Liss came to light the candles, creating a beautiful and meaningful atmosphere for everyone present. Making the celebration even more special, Rabbi Liss is also the daughter of our resident, Evelyn Floresta, adding a heartfelt family connection to the tradition.

Residents shared in the festivities with gelt and delicious jelly doughnuts, spreading smiles and holiday cheer throughout the evenings. It was a wonderful way to celebrate faith, community, and light. Happy Hanukkah to all! 🕎✨

The Regency welcomed the holiday season in spectacular fashion with its much-anticipated Annual Holiday Party—an evening filled with elegance, laughter, and unforgettable moments. The celebration began with residents dressed in their holiday finest, ready to shine as they walked the red carpet in true star style. As music played and spirits were high, residents danced their way down the carpeted aisle while staff lined both sides, cheering, clapping, and celebrating each entrance. Each resident was individually introduced, making everyone feel like a VIP and adding to the excitement and joy of the evening.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, our great Recreation Director, Annmarie and remarkable Recreation team kept the celebration flowing by rolling out the ever-popular rolling bar and serving up their signature Regentis. Smiles and laughter filled the room as residents mingled, toasted the season, and enjoyed the lively, celebratory energy that made the night so special.

The culinary experience was nothing short of exceptional thanks to Chef Pat and his talented team. Guests were treated to a fabulous dinner featuring tender baby lamb chops and perfectly prepared salmon. The dishes were so delicious that residents didn’t have to choose—everyone was happily served both! The evening concluded on a sweet note with Chef Pat’s famous chocolate-dipped cannolis, a crowd favorite that left residents raving and reaching for seconds.

The Annual Holiday Party was truly a night to remember, filled with togetherness, festive cheer, and heartfelt moments. It beautifully reflected the spirit of the season and the strong sense of community that makes The Regency such a special place to call home.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WALT ALERT: “Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever.” - Walt Disney

Today, marks the birthday of Walt Disney, a visionary whose imagination reshaped childhoods, storytelling, and entertainment around the world. To honor his 104th birthday, The Regency pulled out all the stops and created a celebration that truly captured the wonder and magic of Disney.

The marvelous Annmarie and our dreamy Recreation Department transformed the entire dining room into a breathtaking replica of Cinderella’s Castle. Soft blue lighting, shimmering decorations, and elegant castle silhouettes turned the familiar space into an enchanting royal ballroom. Residents entered to find themselves immersed in a fairytale atmosphere that invited everyone—young at heart and lovers of Disney alike—to step into the magic.

Adding to the enchantment, our team dressed in full princess attire. Each costume was carefully chosen and beautifully worn, bringing beloved Disney characters to life. Thank you, ladies- you added to the spirit of the day! !Among them, Annmarie stood out as Snow White, complete with her iconic dress, curly hair, red lips, and warm smile that captured the kindness and charm of the original character. The room glowed not only from the decorations but from the joy these transformations brought to the residents. We can't forget everyone's Prince Charming, Mitch, who handed every resident a rose and a tiara!

The highlight of the afternoon came when two incredible performers arrived—true showstoppers straight from New York City’s famous Ellen’s Stardust Diner, known for its talented singing waitstaff. Brian Esposito and Jennifer Barry graced The Regency with their dynamic voices, filling the room with beloved Disney songs that sparked memories, smiles, and even a few happy tears. Their renditions of Disney’s greatest hits brought the celebration to life, turning the event into a musical journey through decades of timeless classics.

Residents clapped, sang along, and reveled in the performance, making the celebration not just festive but deeply meaningful. It was a day filled with imagination, nostalgia, creativity, and wonder—everything Walt Disney himself cherished.

Walt once said, “Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever.” Today at The Regency, those words rang true. The celebration honored not only Walt Disney’s birthday, but the enduring magic his stories continue to bring to all generations. Thank you Annmarie Hegarty and our princesses for a MAGICALY day!

OH TURKEY ALERT: “May our hearts be full and our plates even fuller.” - Anonymous

Friendsgiving in Safe Harbor turned into something even better this year… Famgiving! 🧡 From the moment families walked through the doors, the entire community was filled with laughter, hugs, and that unmistakable Thanksgiving excitement.

Chef Pat outdid himself once again, serving up a stunning turkey dinner complete with all the trimmings—think savory stuffing, rich gravy, and, of course, the much-anticipated pecan pie that had everyone talking. The lights were dimmed just enough to set the mood, and the dining room glowed beautifully with soft candlelight. Every table was decorated with care, thanks to our talented staff who transformed the space into a cozy fall wonderland.

As everyone settled in to eat, the sweet sounds of Frankie Valli and Frank Sinatra floated through the room, adding a touch of nostalgia and charm to the evening. There were toe-taps, head bobs, and even a few quiet sing-alongs. It was impossible not to smile.

But the real stars of the event? Our residents- all 33 of them. Their joy, pride, and excitement were the highlight of the night. Seeing them surrounded by the people they love most reminded us just how special these moments are. We count ourselves blessed every single day to share our lives with them.

A huge and heartfelt thank-you to Erica and her remarkable team for creating such a warm, loving, and unforgettable night. Their dedication shines in everything they do—and this FAMGIVING celebration was proof of that once again.

Here’s to love, laughter, and a season filled with gratitude! 🦃✨

TOMORROW ALERT: “The sun will come out tomorrow!” - Annie

The sun is always shining at The Regency—especially when our residents are out on the town!

This week, our extraordinary Recreation Director, Annmarie, whisked residents away for a delightful adventure to her son’s alma mater, Kellenberg High School, where the students lit up the stage with their dazzling production of Annie! Big hugs to our ever-cheerful Recreation Assistant, Nikki, who happily joined the fun.

From the moment the curtain rose, the room was buzzing with excitement. The talented cast belted out beloved songs, danced across the stage with Broadway-worthy flair, and kept the audience smiling from ear to ear. “The production was like a Broadway show!” resident Saul M. exclaimed—proof that the magic of theater is alive and well!

To top it all off, Annmarie’s husband, Bill, joined the crew, adding to the warmth and laughter of the day.

A huge, sunny shout-out to Annmarie, Nikki, and Bill for turning an ordinary day into an unforgettable one. At The Regency, joy really is just a bus ride—and a big heart—away!
