All week long, the excitement has been building as residents and staff enthusiastically participated in our annual voting for the King and Queen of The Regency and Safe Harbor! Hallways were buzzing, smiles were everywhere, and the spirit of friendly competition made this cherished tradition even more memorable.

We are thrilled to congratulate The Regency’s newly crowned King, Dr. Anthony Bruno, and Queen Carolyn Willson, former the Deputy Mayor of Glen Cove! Their warmth and joyfulness truly embody the heart of our community.

Meanwhile, our Safe Harbor royalty, King Arnie Levin and Queen Nancy Long, fully embraced the festivities and are proud to represent Safe Harbor in grand style. Both royal couples are eagerly preparing to ride and participate in the festive Glen Cove St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 22nd. We can already picture the waving crowds, the music, and plenty of green as they proudly represent our Regency community!

A heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful nominees who joined in the fun. Your enthusiasm and spirit are what make this celebration so special year after year.

It’s shaping up to be an unforgettable celebration filled with pride, laughter, and lots of Irish cheer. We are looking forward to an absolutely awesome time! !

A huge thank you to the best cookie salesperson in town! 🍪💕

Safe Harbor’s Director, Erica Ferrara’s 8-year-old daughter, Frankie, stopped by The Regency at Glen Cove today to sell Girl Scout cookies — and she was a superstar!

With her pink cash register in hand and a big, bright smile, Frankie sold over 200 boxes! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who supported her and purchased cookies.

Frankie, you definitely earned yourself a Girl Scout patch — and maybe even an ice cream cone for a job well done! 🍦👏

We are so proud of you!

LOVE IS IN THE AIR ALERT: “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” — Aesop

Spending over a month writing kindness cards shows such dedication and heart. Big thank you to Emma, Aliyah, and Melanie that made and delivered the cards to the residents at The Regency at Glen Cove. The Valentine’s Day cards brightened everyone’s day.
Moments like this show what community is all about.

Those girls are growing into compassionate, thoughtful young leaders. We can't stop smiling!

Congratulations to our very own Diana from Wellness as she prepares to welcome her second baby girl! 🎀💕

The Regency residents and staff recently came together to surprise Diana with a beautiful and heartfelt baby shower. The room was filled with excitement, laughter, and so much love as everyone gathered to celebrate this special time in her life. From festive decorations to sweet treats, every detail made the day truly memorable.

One of the most touching moments of the celebration was when Diana’s husband and her daughter, Evie, arrived to surprise her during her shower! Seeing her family walk in brought even more joy to an already emotional and happy occasion.

Diana received so many adorable and thoughtful gifts for her new little one. From tiny outfits and cozy blankets to must-have baby essentials, it’s clear this baby girl is already so loved. The generosity and kindness shown by everyone truly reflect the strong sense of community we share.

To add to the fun, the staff organized a baby shower game that had everyone laughing and enjoying themselves.

We are so excited for Diana and her growing family and can’t wait to meet her newest little blessing. Congratulations again, Diana! 💗

MOVE OVER PAVAROTTI ALERT: “Opera is about people, and about the passions that move them.” - Maria Clallas

Opera Day at the Regency was an immersive celebration of music, and culinary elegance. Residents and staff were welcomed into an afternoon of live operatic performance, featuring an accomplished opera singer, Richard Risi, performing timeless arias that filled our theater with LOVE!

Annmarie and her team offered a rare behind-the-scenes look at the craftsmanship of opera, including an exclusive backstage viewing of some famous pieces. Complementing the cultural experience, Chef Pat whipped up steak and portobello mushroom appetizers!

Check out our budding artists! We had a great time! Did we tell you that Annmarie made her costume out of duct tape? Amazing!!

The theater was buzzing with excitement as residents and staff packed the room—standing room only—for a fast-paced, game show–style trivia showdown! Teams faced off answering questions about famous places and belting out answers to classic TV theme songs, sparking laughter, cheers, and plenty of friendly competition. The energy was high, the teamwork was strong, and the fun was nonstop, making this trivia night a true crowd-pleasing hit! Thanks Dr. Matt for a fun afternoon. Congrats to THE GOLD TEAM lead by Captain Violetta!!! Annmarie- let's please schedule another one, WE LOVED IT!
