Meet Miranda and Ashley! Miranda is our Doula Program Manager and Ashley is the Pregnancy & Parenting Support Groups Manager (and group facilitator). Together, they manage the Doula home visiting and Group programs. Both Miranda and Ashley started their journeys at Teen Parent Connection as Doula Home Visitors. 🥰

🤔Did you know that research has shown that doulas can help to support positive birth outcomes, improve a birthing person's overall birth satisfaction, and provide specialized education and support to families prenatally, during birth, & postpartum? Teen Parent Connection has a team of 4 amazing doulas on staff!🙌🏼

Postpartum Support Group will be starting on THURSDAY, 3/5/26!

💻We will be VIRTUAL this session.

Here are the details:
Group will be held on ZOOM each week.
TIME: 6:30pm-8:00pm every Thursday 3/5/26-3/26/26.

🤱🏾Who can attend??
⭐This group is specifically for New Parents. That means that if you have a 0-12month old, you are welcome to attend!
⭐This group is ONLY for parents of the infant. Sorry- no friends or family members.

💁🏿We have break-out sessions for DADS too!
💁🏼Dad's group is led by a male facilitator.

WILL START THURSDAY, JANUARY 8th
and will run through FEBRUARY 19th, 2026!

Classes will be VIRTUAL, on ZOOM this session from 6:30pm-8:00pm every Thursday.

👭🙋‍♂️Support Partners are welcome AND encouraged to attend!

Despite the federal shut down, WIC Supplemental Nutrition Program and Services in Illinois remains fully funded and will continue normal operations through November.

If you're a WIC participant:
• Keep your appointments
• Use your benefits
• Reach out if you need help

The DuPage County Health Department can assist with
• Scheduling WIC appointments
• Connecting to food pantries

🦋October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day🦋

& October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

Unfortunately, 1 in 4 will experience a pregnancy or infant loss. For those on the outside of this experience it can be really difficult to know what to say or what not to say to those who have experienced a loss.

Here are some ideas of language that may be hurtful or helpful to those going through such a difficult time.

If you have experienced a loss and there were things that people did or said that were either helpful or hurtful that you would like to share, please feel free to do so!

is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month 💙💗.
This month, we honor the children who have gone too soon and the parents that grieve their loss. Experiencing pregnancy or infant loss can be a unique grieving process that has no timeline.
By bringing awareness to these experiences, it is the hope that families will feel seen, heard, and be more likely to reach out for the support they need.

If you have experienced loss, you are not alone and don't need to navigate this journey alone. 💗💙
