Our Strictly Social and Safety & Environmental Committees teamed up to host a staff Earth Day event—painting birdhouses and sharing a green potluck.
Moments like this matter. Taking time to be creative, share food, and step outside of the day-to-day supports our mental health by reducing stress, building relationships, and reminding us we’re part of something bigger.

Our team is growing stronger and more equipped than ever!

This week, our staff had the opportunity to be trained in Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP) by our very own Clinical Supervisor. Deepening our ability to support families with care that truly meets them where they are.

MAP is an evidence-based approach designed for individuals ages 0–21, offering flexible, personalized strategies to address emotional and behavioral challenges. No two kids are the same, and their care shouldn’t be either.

We’re proud to continue investing in training that strengthens our impact and ensures our community has access to high-quality, evidence-based mental health care.

Supporting Your Child After a Hurtful April Fool's Joke

April Fool's Day can be a fun time, but sometimes jokes can go too far and leave our kiddos feeling hurt. Here’s how to support your child if they experience a painful prank:

1. Listen: Let your child share how they feel without interruption.

2. Acknowledge Feelings: Tell them it's okay to be upset and hurt.

3. Talk it Out: Discuss why the joke was hurtful and what they didn’t like about it.

4. Highlight Kindness: Talk about how we should treat others nicely and why some jokes can hurt feelings.

5. Focus on Good Friends: Help them spend time with supportive friends who make them feel good.

6. Teach Coping: Share simple ways to calm down, like deep breathing.

7. Show Ways to Address It: Role-play how to talk to someone who upset them, to build their confidence.

8. Talk About Moving On: If they’re ready, discuss the idea of forgiveness for their own peace.

These tips can help your child feel supported and stronger after a tough experience! If you need more help, just ask!

🍀 Three Things to Look For Today🍀

A Moment That Went Better Than Expected:
Maybe a tough morning turned around… or a hard feeling didn’t last as long as they thought. That’s growth hiding in plain sight.

A Small Act of Care (Given or Received):
Someone held the door. A sibling shared. A grown-up paused to listen.
Kindness counts — even the quiet kind.

A Feeling That Changed:
From nervous → calm
From frustrated → proud
From sad → okay
Noticing emotional shifts helps kids see their own strength.

There are lucky moments that can happen at any moment of any day! Find joy in the little moments of life!
