We also want to encourage patients to be proactive about their health by establishing a partnership with our clinicians and staff in planning their healthcare goals. Whole Family Health Lecture Series!

Congratulations to Dr. Teo OMS for completing a successful Internal Medicine clinical rotation with our WFH team. We’re particularly proud because Dr. Teo first roamed our halls as a pre-med and soon graduating medical school on his way to residency. Each rotation closes with a presentation based on an interesting case that our students encounter while in office or other current public health issues. Admittedly this was a hard one to sit through, reminding us of the importance of HUMANITY not only in the practice of medicine but in all levels of community engagement. Smiles on our faces for continuing to train the next generation of doctors; pain in our hearts for the needless deaths of our fellow Americans.

We applaud Dr. Teo for doing what scientists do; data analysis and sharing the lessons we learn to improve our lot. Best of luck on your continued training and career!

Over the next few days, City of Glendale is offering Covid-19 vaccinations for eligible groups, please see the flyer above for registration information. One of the biggest hurdles in getting our senior population vaccinated is their access to technology. Please, if you know someone over 65 who is eligible to get the vaccine help them get online and register to get vaccinated or have them call the office and we can help them get signed up. 818.850.5667. Let’s help our family and friends make appointments for their Covid-19 vaccination. Both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are a 2 dose series, approximately 21 days and 28 days between doses. Even if you’re not yet eligible to receive the vaccine yet, you can still register to receive alerts when it’s your time. I’ve received both doses and our entire staff has received their first dose; all doing well and so far no major side effects, only some routine immune response symptoms that can follow vaccination. So far in the US over 11 million people have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, a large majority of that number are healthcare workers treating hospitalized patients with Covid. This is still a small percentage of our population at large. The sooner we all do our part, the sooner we can hug one another again🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♂️

Circa 2014, taken at our Chevy Chase office. This is what I’m grateful for as we close out this unprecedented year. This team. And there’s more not pictured here; they’ve all made an impact on so many lives. Every time I look at this picture I’m reminded of the hours upon hours they’ve helped me, my family and our patients. All while managing their own families and experiencing some of the biggest losses one hopes never to experience in a lifetime, let alone a single year. I want to send a HUGE thank you to our team, none of this would be possible without each of you and I appreciate you all dedicating your lives to medicine and our community. ✊🏽🧑🏻‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️🎓🩺
