We at Forest Lawn join the nation and the world in mourning and honoring the life of Reverend Jesse Jackson. A steadfast civil rights leader, minister, and advocate for social justice, he devoted his life to advancing equality, economic empowerment, voting rights, and opportunity for all. As a close associate of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., founder of Operation PUSH and the Rainbow Coalition, and a historic presidential candidate, Reverend Jackson’s voice helped shape the ongoing pursuit of justice and unity in America. His legacy of courage, faith, and tireless advocacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

We at Forest Lawn extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Frank Gehry, the pioneering architect who reshaped skylines and redefined how we interact with the buildings that shelter us. Known for his fluid, sculptural structures and fearless innovation, he created some of the world’s most beloved landmarks, including treasures here in Los Angeles such as The Walt Disney Concert Hall. His work was a gift not only to this city but to humanity—spaces that uplifted, inspired, and challenged us to dream bigger. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and all whose lives were touched by his creativity. His legacy will continue to shine through the iconic structures bearing his unmistakable spirit.

We at Forest Lawn extend our condolences to the nation and the family of former Vice President Dick Cheney on his passing. As the 46th Vice President of the United States, serving from 2001 to 2009 under President George W. Bush, Mr. Cheney dedicated his life to public service, also serving as Secretary of Defense and U.S. Representative. His leadership during pivotal moments in our nation’s history—through the end of the Cold War, the Gulf War, and the post-9/11 era—left a lasting mark on our country. We honor his memory and decades of service to the American people.
