You know The Cure Starts Now is partnering with Graeter's Ice Cream to turn every scoop and pint of Elena’s Blueberry Pie into a victory for kids battling aggressive brain cancers. But what about that signature flavor itself? The one that launched this entire campaign in 2009?🍨

It’s a story of three families. A family who’d lost their sweet 6-year-old girl to DIPG. An artisanal ice-cream-making family moved by this brain cancer angel’s story. And a Cincy family who won a once-in-a-lifetime chance at our Foundation’s first gala to create a custom flavor.

Ideas, samples, and multiple test batches later, an original combo was born – fresh blueberries blended with real pie pieces. And an annual fundraiser and partnership during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month was launched.🫐🥧

Today, that September-only flavor is not just a crave-worthy treat, it’s a movement that helps fund even more brain cancer research as well as shine a light on the mission to find the Homerun™ Cure for all cancers.
