šŸ“š: Education matters when it comes to who you trust your body with at a Pilates studio. You and your body deserve informed teaching.

Pilates is most powerful when it’s guided by education—an understanding of biomechanics, anatomy, and an understanding of how bodies adapt over time are crucial aspects of a qualified Pilates teacher’s education that informs how they are able to select appropriate exercises to guide a client’s session safely and effectively.

This is why my M.S in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise Science and Human Performance, my B.A in Dance with an Option in Dance Science, my anatomy studies, and my comprehensive Pilates training with Body Arts and Science International with a Specialization in Dance Conditioning all matters.

Star is one of those Pilates exercises that reveals itself overtime… With a lot of patience… And perseverance… The relationships become known and the benefits become evident. šŸ”When I first learned Star, I thought it was a side plank. But now I can see that it is a combination of so many other Mat and Reformer exercises like the Side Leg Kick Series, Single Straight Leg Stretch, Side Bend, Elephant, Long Stretch Series, Knee Pulls, Mermaid, and the Hundred. šŸ”‘Star finds its roots in the strength of the powerhouse through the legs and the arm/back relationship builds on that. But I would never have discovered that without a regular practice that I make time and space for….I’m still learning and growing every time I do my Mat or my Reformer Practice. šŸ”Practice makes progress, …So if you want to see change,….invest in prioritizing your practice! šŸ—ļø:You deserve to experience all the benefits a Pilates practice can offer you like strength, reduced risk of injury, reduction in stiffness, innate confidence, and juicy mobility. You deserve to feel amazing because you ARE amazing!šŸ˜ ā¤ļø
