Looks delicious Christine! Christine cooks at the S.A.I.L. accessible kitchen weekly with community habilitation support so her meals are made fresh instead from frozen food. Way to go!

A new year means a new cycle of Guest Chef across CWI’s IRAs—one of our favorite traditions where members of the leadership team step into the kitchen to prepare a meal and spend meaningful time connecting with our incredible staff and the people we support.

This week, the Guest Chef tour stopped at Pearl IRA, where the menu featured homemade chicken burgers with Brendan’s special seasoning and a fresh, tasty Caesar salad prepared by April. More than just a meal, it was an opportunity to share conversation, laughter, and connection around the table.

These moments remind us that community is built in the everyday—through shared experiences, teamwork, and showing up for one another. We’re excited to keep this tradition going throughout the year

CWI was proud to be invited to participate in Glens Falls Middle School’s Hometown Career Day! Spending time with students, sharing our stories, and talking about careers rooted in service and community is something we truly value.

Students came prepared with thoughtful questions they’ve been working on in class—everything from schedules and schooling to what a typical day on the job really looks like. What made the experience especially meaningful was helping them connect their own interests, strengths, and challenges to future career possibilities.

Career Day isn’t just about job titles or salaries—it’s about helping young people see that who they are today can shape the work they do tomorrow, and that meaningful careers exist right here in our community.

We left inspired by their curiosity, honesty, and big dreams—and hopeful knowing the future is in great hands.

Thank you to Glens Falls Middle School for the invitation and for fostering curiosity, awareness, and community connections.

Some lives are not measured in years, but in the people they changed.

Today, we honor the beautiful life of Marie — a vibrant soul whose infectious smile and love of singing made every day feel a little brighter. Marie found great joy in animals, especially horses and dogs, and her zest for life was felt by everyone who knew her.

For more than 25 years, it was our privilege to walk alongside Marie through many stages of her life. Through every transition, she met change with strength and resilience, leaving a lasting impression on staff, peers, and all who had the honor of supporting her.

Marie was surrounded by staff who truly knew her, respected her individuality, and celebrated her for who she was. The connections formed over the years were filled with compassion, laughter, and moments that will forever be remembered.

Marie touched countless lives and became an important part of our CWI community. She flourished at Expressions Day Program, where she formed special connections that reminded us all what it means to live life to the fullest.

We are deeply grateful to have been part of Marie’s journey. She will be remembered with love and missed by all whose lives she touched.

Friday night we spent connecting with our community at the Adirondack Thunder game!

While the final score didn’t go our way, the energy, smiles, and shared purpose made the evening a win for CWI.

We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated volunteers who helped support the 50/50 raffle—whether greeting fans, selling tickets, or cheering from the stands. Your time, enthusiasm, and willingness to show up made a real difference.

A heartfelt thank you as well to the community members who stopped by, participated, and supported our mission. Nights like this remind us how meaningful it is to come together, have fun, and stay connected.
