This year, Activities asked our staff to make floats and partake in a Thanksgiving Parade for the residents — without planning on it, every float made was Christmas themed!🎄☃️🎁🧸🎅🏻🤶🏻

We had Santa's Workshop, Mrs. Claus at the North Pole, Santa's Sleigh with Rudolph, Reindeer, Frosty, The Grinch & Presents, Snoopy/Charlie Brown Christmas, and The Grinch made entirely with balloons!

Our residents had so much fun watching our parade through the facility, and some even got to play a part!

We finished our parade in the main dining room, where the residents enjoyed some pie before voting for Best In Show🏅

The creativity shown and collaboration by our staff was so wonderful to see — everyone went above and beyond to help make our residents' Thanksgiving week full of fun, and we are so thankful for every single employee we have ❤️

'Tis the season for Gingerbread 🎄

On National Gingerbread Day (11/21), we baked some fresh gingerbread cookies in the morning so our residents could decorate and eat them by the afternoon!

When our residents read "Cheese Ball Game with Shaving Cream" on the calendar, none of them pictured what Activities had in store — but they had a GREAT time! Even Activities Aide Casey had a good time, though she was seconds away from the new cheese-ball-and-shaving-cream-do slipping off the shower cap!

On Friday, 11/14, we enjoyed music by Bob 🎶 with the much loved charcuterie-style snacks and mocktails served! 🍹

We sang along with Bob to some classic oldies, and had such a fun time shimmying in our seats!

We love our live entertainment here at GFC, and appreciate everyone who comes to play for us!
