Happy Open Enrollment Season!
Here is our next tip to help you find the best insurance policy for your infertility journey.

#2- The Marketplace
• When reviewing policies, after entering your information, look for the area under each policy that says “View plan details”. Scroll down to “Other Services” and look for “Infertility Treatment” to compare coverage levels. Also look at the “Prescription Drug Coverage” section and “Specialty Drugs”. Keep in mind medication deductibles can be separate from your listed medical deductible and out of pocket max.

Happy Open Enrollment Season!
Many employers and the Healthcare marketplace will soon be providing information for 2026 health insurance plans. For the next couple of weeks we will be posting a series of tips to help you find the best policy for infertility coverage.

#1 -On a State by State Basis
While Illinois has mandated fertility coverage, there are some restrictions depending on your employer. So even though you may live in Illinois, if your company is based in another state, you may not be covered. Make sure your insurance is provided through Illinois to get the most out of this mandate (Ex. BCBS Illinois vs. BCBS Texas).
