She flew in from Florida for just four teeth.
▪️
Her concern wasn’t a “Hollywood smile.”
She simply didn’t like how her two front teeth hung lower than the rest of her smile, and with her son’s wedding approaching, she wanted to feel confident in photos.
Sometimes the smallest details are the ones people notice most.
▪️
After a detailed consultation, we focused on creating balance rather than change.
Treatment plan:
• Gum lift to create symmetry in the gumline
• 2 porcelain veneers
• 2 porcelain crowns
By carefully adjusting the proportions and blending the upper four front teeth, we were able to create a result that feels natural, harmonious, and uniquely hers.

Today would have been my dad’s birthday.
▪️
It’s been five years since cancer took him from us, but the impact he had on my life is something time can never take away.
▪️
He showed me what resilience looks like, how to treat people with kindness, and how important family truly is. The older I get, the more I understand just how much of who I am comes from him.

Moments like this photo, seeing him with his grandson, remind me that love and influence continue long after someone is gone.

When a patient says, “I know exactly what I want,” I listen closely.
▪️
She came to us after being referred by her general dentist, wanting to replace the four upper front crowns that never quite felt like her. The shape felt too round… too “bubbly.” She had a very clear vision for the value, color, and overall character of her smile.
▪️
Cases like this are all about communication.
Between patient, dentist, and ceramist.
▪️
Before replacing the crowns, we completed KoR whitening to brighten her natural teeth so the new restorations could blend seamlessly. From there, it was an ongoing dialogue with a master ceramist; refining shape, surface texture, and color until everything felt balanced, natural, and uniquely hers.
▪️
When she saw the final result, she was ecstatic. And those moments, when someone finally sees the smile they’ve been envisioning, are what make the details worth it.

Every time I walk into the AARD meeting, I’m reminded why I fell in love with dentistry in the first place.
▪️
The level of thought.
The precision.
The accountability.
The commitment to doing things the right way, not the easy way.
▪️
The American Academy of Restorative Dentistry is a room full of clinicians who hold themselves to the highest possible standard. Not for recognition. Not for ego. But for their patients.
▪️
I’ve been fortunate to attend for over 14 years, and I never take that for granted. Each year I leave sharper, more inspired, and more grounded in what excellence truly looks like.
▪️
And none of this journey would be possible without mentorship. Dennis has helped guide me through this path, pushing me to think deeper, work harder, and elevate my standards beyond what I thought was possible. That kind of mentorship changes a career.

She came to us at a big moment in her life. Heading into high school and missing her lateral incisors. That kind of transition is already a lot for any teenager, and her smile was something she thought about every day.
▪️
From the start, this was a team effort. We worked closely with her orthodontist throughout braces to carefully plan spacing, alignment, and final tooth position. The goal was always the same: give her a result that felt natural, confident, and non-removable, something she wouldn’t have to think about or take in and out.
▪️
After orthodontics, we completed KOR whitening to brighten her natural teeth, then designed porcelain Maryland bridges to replace her missing laterals. Conservative. Precise. Stable. And most importantly, age-appropriate and confidence-boosting.
▪️
Watching her see her finished smile and knowing she’s walking into high school feeling comfortable and proud is why collaborative dentistry matters. This is about timing, planning, and listening just as much as it’s about technique.

This incredible pediatric dentist came to me through word-of-mouth and somewhere between talking teeth, traveling; we realized we were trained by the same pediatric instructor in dental school. Small world, shared roots, and a whole lot of mutual respect.

There’s something especially meaningful about caring for a colleague’s smile. When another dentist trusts you with their own dental health, it’s not just about the work; it’s about philosophy, communication, and knowing you’ll listen as much as you lead.
