✨ Conditions we treated this week at Chapter One ✨

It’s been an odd week in the clinic and we apologize for the need to close at various times to conduct interviews 🧩 as we look for that PERFECT fit.

This week we did A LOT of aesthetics... 💋 hello, January! But there was plenty of upper respiratory infections (Flu A, Flu K (likely), COVID & Strep) sprinkled throughout. ✅

We also had some Combat Sports Physicals - MMA/Boxing/Martial Arts (new to me) + plenty of DOT/CDL Physicals (thank you, for choosing us) ✅

Still researching a very complicated case of MCAS, POTS, EDS & Dysautonomia with symptoms that fit every differential diagnoses. ✅

Gut dysbiosis, diverticulosis & intestinal hyperpermeability leading to massive inflammation and iron deficiency. ✅

🤣 Real talk—roles matter. Standards matter. 🤣

My son had an out-of-town soccer game tonight. This is the coach for the opposing team...

Now, I may have high standards, or maybe I'm old fashioned... or maybe I'm just plain old.

But...

If a soccer coach shows up looking like this, I’m sorry… he isn’t fit for that role.

And it’s the SAME energy as the person who walks into my clinic to interview in wrinkled sweats, smelling like they just put out a cigarette in the parking lot, thinking they’re about to “educate in wellness, beauty and aesthetics, 🤔

Different jobs… same problem
🚫 Not everyone is cut out to lead athletes.
🚫 Not everyone is cut out to represent a legitimate medical aesthetics clinic.

We attract what we emanate.

So if I’m getting candidates who look like they crawled out of a gas station parking lot…
That’s my sign to tighten the message:
✨ this is a high-standard clinic
✨ with a high-standard team
✨ serving high-standard patients

🎪There's a bargain basement botox clinic on every corner 🤡

But that isn't us.

We never hire family, we don't hire close friends, and we don't hire based on availability....

We hire aligned. 💅💉

So... if you know a super competent, highly professional, eager to learn MA, send them our way as interviews start tomorrow 🧩

We currently have one candidate who meets all of our key criteria and have an interview scheduled later this week.

If that interview does not move forward, we will continue reviewing the remaining applications.

At this time, our priority is finding a highly competent Registered Medical Assistant, as our time for training is super limited.

I am incredibly blessed to have friends and colleagues at Canyonlands and Optima to help me navigate this process. 🙏
